I know what you mean. There were times when I didn't care walking through dark alleys or parks at night, but I had my ears open and my eyes were everywhere. I have always been lucky though 😁

Well for the most part I have been lucky, twice I was not observant enough or young and thought i was 10 foot tall and bullet proof and twice people have tried to Mug me, tried being the key word LOL I was fiesty and fast then if attacked shall I say and I came out better from the encounter than they did

LOL A mix of both, once was a couple of 20 year olds i guess I was happy to give my money tot hem and move on, but one was a jerk and took a swing at my face, then my temper kicked in, and I ended up walking away with my wallet and pride in tact

Other was in Hong Kong, walking home from a bar after to many beers, don't remember the details much, was told about it by the Chief of POlice at my farewell function, they called an ambulance for themselves and admitted to trying to mug me and pulling a knife and apparently i was the talk of the police force at the time lOL

I like the second story but I love the Hong Kong story - a shame that you can't remember it all yourself, you could even tell more about your fight, but on the other hand, just to imagine your fight is quite spectacular 😁

Well I was told one had a broken Jaw, another cracked ribs LOL, I am guessing they swung ta my face when that happens i loose it lOL

LOL I have two or three walking sticks, but more for decoration cool ones i found on my travels i don't walk for them, and i am pretty safe unless you try to punch me in the face
