Hello my dear people of Hive, I have been missing a lot from these parts, but today I want to try to come back, and I say try because lately I have not had the time required to be here and make good posts; you already know that I study medicine, because I have mentioned it on several occasions, and as you know it is a rather complicated career that consumes you both physically and mentally. I decided to come back and resume the blogs where I told you about my day to day as a medical student, and today I want to give you a brief summary of how my last hospital shift was, without further ado let's get started.
The morning was promising, there were too many people to be seen, normally in the hospital where I do my internship there are two consultation rooms, and in each one there is a doctor attending, this is so that the flow of people decreases a little more quickly.
In the afternoon everything was calmer, we only had one pending entry which my colleagues and I made.
To brighten up the day we had a visit from a pregnant woman. I love seeing pregnant women. This one who arrived was about to give birth and that had me excited. It was a quick delivery and I was surprised by the size of the baby. He was beautiful. Here are some photos for you to see.
After that, the rest of the day passed quietly, with patients who only came for a check-up.
At night we waited our turn to rest, and at dawn at 6am, we were reviewing patients and developing their stories.
It was a quiet and somewhat exciting watch, maybe next time it will be different, hopefully not so tiring, or I will end up more worn out HSHAHA, greetings and see you in the next blogs.🥰
