Hello, how are these beautiful people? The classes and rotations have kept me full, but today I bring you a new post.
Comenzamos el día desde las 4am, como de costumbre preparando todo para llevarme al hospital, ese día seria de guardia por ende debia llevarme desayuno, almuerzo y cena.
We started the day at 4am, as usual preparing everything to take me to the hospital, that person was on duty so he had to bring me breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Llegué al hospital a recibir mi guardia a las 7am, habian muchos pacientes y emergencias por doquier.
I arrived at the hospital to receive my shift at 7am, there were many patients and emergencies everywhere.
Mi compañero y yo terminamos en grupos distintos, él en sala de emergencia y yo por mi parte revisando pacientes y haciendo sus evoluciones médicas.
My partner and I ended up in different groups, him in the emergency room and I, for my part, reviewing patients and making their medical progress.
El dia estaba pesado, no nos sentamos ni a comer, cuando pensabas que se iba a calmar un poco el día, llegaba una nueva emergencia.
The day was hard, we didn't even sit down to eat, when you thought the day was going to calm down a little, a new emergency arrived.
El hospital en el que hago mis practicas tiene 4 pisos, subí y bajé escaleras incontables veces, pues no sabia que cada que un médico está de guardia se hace cargo de todos los pisos más la sala de emergencia, algunos pacientes de diferentes pisos estaban algo mal de salud y habia que ir a chequearlos cada cierto tiempo.
The hospital where I do my internship has 4 floors, I went up and down the stairs countless times, because I didn't know that every time a doctor is on duty he takes charge of all the floors plus the emergency room, some patients on different floors were somewhat poor health and we had to go check them from time to time.
Mi compañero por su parte, hacia el papel hasta de camillero, hacia electros y toma tensiones arteriales.
My partner, for his part, even played the role of an orderly, performed electrocardiograms and took blood pressure.
Pudimos descansar casi a las 4am, y puedo decir que sobrevivimos a esa guardia desastrosa, pero llena de adrenalina, aquí una foto de nosotros en post-guardia JAJAJA.
We were able to rest almost at 4am, and I can say that we survived that disastrous watch, but full of adrenaline, here is a photo of us in post-watch HAHAHA.
