Hoy es un gran día y merece ser destacado, hay razones para celebrar pero sobretodo, para reivindicar.

El día de hoy celebramos “El Día Internacional de la Mujer”, una fecha especial de nuestro calendario que busca visibilizar la lucha de las mujeres para obtener una igualad equitativa frente a las corrientes y pensamientos que menosprecian su rol en nuestra sociedad.

Today is a great day and deserves to be highlighted, there are reasons to celebrate but above all, to claim.

Today we celebrate "International Women's Day", a special date in our calendar that seeks to make visible the struggle of women to obtain an equal equality against the currents and thoughts that underestimate their role in our society.

Esas razones de las que hablo son los millones de mujeres del mundo que a lo largo de la historia han batallado para obtener lo que por naturaleza merecen. Por mi parte me siento afortunado de tener la capacidad de pensar de una forma amplia frente a temas importantes, y el tema de la igualdad de géneros siempre me ha parecido una cuestión importante.

Desde pequeño mi madre se encargó de hacerme ver que las mujeres son tan iguales a los hombres, en lo que a condición humana se refiere, es por eso que siempre he visto a las mujeres como a mis iguales; los mismos derechos, los mismos deberes, el mismo valor y la misma importancia, de ahí que siempre me hayan molestado los agravios y desplantes hacia las mujeres como género.

Más allá de todo lo que mi madre inculcó en mi, que fue mucho, poco a poco fui creando mi criterio propio y al mismo tiempo abriendo mi mente frente a las cuestiones que mueven a este mundo; pienso que gracias a ello he tenido la capacidad de entender el gran rol que cumple la mujer en nuestra sociedad. Siempre hemos pensado que la historia está hecha por hombres, pero desde mi punto de vista y mirando es retrospectiva creo que existe otra historia, la menos visible y que ha estado marcada e hilvanada por el género femenino.

Those reasons I am talking about are the millions of women in the world who throughout history have fought to obtain what they naturally deserve. I for one feel fortunate to have the ability to think broadly about important issues, and the issue of gender equality has always seemed to me to be an important one.

Since I was a child my mother was in charge of making me see that women are as equal as men, as far as the human condition is concerned, that is why I have always seen women as my equals; the same rights, the same duties, the same value and the same importance, hence I have always resented the slights and slights towards women as a gender.

Beyond everything that my mother instilled in me, which was a lot, little by little I was creating my own criteria and at the same time opening my mind to the issues that move this world; I think that thanks to this I have had the ability to understand the great role that women play in our society. We have always thought that history is made by men, but from my point of view and looking back I believe that there is another history, the less visible and that has been marked and threaded by the female gender.

En casa, en el hogar, y en cualquier lugar de nuestra sociedad la mujer siempre ha tenido un rol vital, y no hablo solamente de estar por detrás del hombre ayudándole a forjar su camino, me refiero a que a ellas mismas les ha tocado forjarse el suyo propio y en el proceso han logrado grandes cosas. Ejemplo de lo que digo hay muchos, han sido excelentes maestras, formando a las grandes mentes de la historia (aunque muchas veces lo hacían desde el anonimato).

Incluso cuando por culpa de un sistema patriarcal les ha tocado ser quienes se dediquen exclusivamente a un hogar lo han hecho de forma increíble, las mujeres son en su mayoría las responsables de haber formado excelentes ciudadanos, esos que han llevado al mundo por un camino mejor. Aquellas que han tenido “mejor suerte” lo han hecho igual de bien pues se han tenido que abrir paso en un mundo lleno de desigualdades, representando distintos roles y en muchos casos superando a los hombres con creses.

Las mujeres han demostrado más de lo que debían su valor e importancia en esta sociedad, nos han mostrado todo lo que son capaces de hacer y dejándonos ver que son capaces de más. Siempre se ha dicho que detrás de un gran hombres existe una gran mujer pero yo pienso otra cosa; detrás de cualquier persona, destacable o no, habrá una mujer que haya contribuido de alguna forma a que esa persona sea lo que es, eso nos dice que el alcance y protagonismo de las mujeres es tal que han llegado a ser omnipresentes en la vida de todos.

At home, in the home, and anywhere in our society, women have always played a vital role, and I am not only talking about being behind the man helping him forge his path, I mean that they themselves have had to forge their own and in the process have achieved great things. There are many examples of what I am saying, they have been excellent teachers, forming the great minds of history (although many times they did it from anonymity).

Even when, because of a patriarchal system, they have had to be the ones who dedicate themselves exclusively to a home, they have done an incredible job, women are mostly responsible for having formed excellent citizens, those who have led the world on a better path. Those who have had "better luck" have done just as well because they have had to make their way in a world full of inequalities, representing different roles and in many cases surpassing men with creses.

Women have demonstrated more than they should have their value and importance in this society, they have shown us everything they are capable of doing and let us see that they are capable of more. It has always been said that behind a great man there is a great woman but I think otherwise; behind any person, remarkable or not, there will be a woman who has contributed in some way to make that person what she is, that tells us that the scope and prominence of women is such that they have become omnipresent in everyone's life.

Hoy celebramos pero también reivindicamos y reconocemos el papel de las mujeres en nuestra cotidianidad, hoy y todos los días es ideal darle visibilidad a los logros de las mujeres; hoy y todos los días son buen momento para entender que tienen los mismos derechos, deberes, oportunidades y sobre todo, el mismo valor que los hombres.

Hay algo que quiero destacar para finalizar; todo ser vivo es merecedor de respeto a sus derechos y a quienes son, sin importar si somos hombres, mujeres, animales o plantas, todos merecemos respeto y tenemos derecho y por tanto deben ser respetados y valorados. Lo único que debe importarnos en el entorno que nos rodea es la condición de seres vivos, solo eso basta para sean reconocidos y respetados los derechos de cada uno.

Los derechos de las mujeres son también derechos humanos, no puede haber uno sin el otro y viceversa.

Con este post quiero extender mis felicitaciones y mi reconocimiento a todas las mujeres de esta plataforma, e incluso a las que no están aquí, por todo lo que son y lo que hacen; por su lucha, constancia, amor, energía, creatividad, inteligencia, tenacidad e infinidad de cualidades que las caracterizan.

Today we celebrate but we also vindicate and recognize the role of women in our daily lives, today and every day it is ideal to give visibility to the achievements of women; today and every day is a good time to understand that they have the same rights, duties, opportunities and above all, the same value as men.

There is something I want to emphasize in closing; every living being deserves respect for their rights and who they are, regardless of whether we are men, women, animals or plants, we all deserve respect and have the right and therefore should be respected and valued. The only thing that should matter in the environment that surrounds us is the condition of living beings, only that is enough to be recognized and respected the rights of each one.

Women's rights are also human rights, there cannot be one without the other and vice versa.

With this post I want to extend my congratulations and my recognition to all the women of this platform, and even to those who are not here, for everything they are and what they do; for their struggle, perseverance, love, energy, creativity, intelligence, tenacity and countless qualities that characterize them.
