Our 5th Wedding Anniversary

in GEMS2 years ago

23rd February 2018 is when we signed our marriage cert but 24th February 2018 is when we got wedded at our church ceremony. With that, it warrants starting the celebrations today! Haha...

Anyway, it's been 5 years since we said "I DO" in the presence of God together with our families and close friends. It has been an amazing journey and I wouldn't have it another way. My husband is 6 years younger than me and before we got together for courtship, this was one of the main things we had to discuss moving forward whether it would be an issue or not. Of course, it wasn't. But along the way, I had to remind myself that he is growing and he would need to naturally go through what men usually have to go through and not judge him from my "6 years being older" view and perception.

When I look back, it's just amazing how we ended up together and where we are today. I waited for him for 4 years before getting together in courtship, one year into our courtship, we got engaged then a year later got married. Haha.. in my father's own words, "Wahh, so fast ah?!" And how did my husband respond? "She is the one, no need to wait any longer!" WOW! So touching to hear that. Haha~

Anyway, here's sharing with you some photos taken end of last year during one of the toughest week in my life. My husband said to me, let's go somewhere different, as much as I didn't want to, I obliged because he knows me well enough that I need it. So, he decided to bring me for a walk at Lalaport KL, a new shopping mall. We walked, enjoyed the sunset, went for ramen, then ended up with a cup of coffee before heading home.

Taking a shot in front of the mall's decor and sign. Not bad, I don't look that bad after a tiring and emotional week.

Went to the rooftop of the mall to this place to enjoy the sunset with the view of Malaysia's tallest building, the Merdeka 118 tower.

A shot of the Merdeka 118 tower and it's reflection on this water feature.

People taking tiktok videos at this place while I take a shot of the sky and the tower.

We wanted to try a new restaurant but it wasn't open yet hence we went back to something that I love, Ramen and what better than Ippudo! I love Ramen a lot! Feed me ramen with tonkatsu broth any day, I will be happy!

My husband said that there's this coffee place that is famous in Japan and that we should try. Doutor coffee located at the top floor's foodcourt. Indeed, it was delicious! I like it's roasted flavour a lot. We had this coffee around 9pm! lol... but good thing, I was ultra tired so the coffee did not stop me from sleeping that night.

Their famous light + music stairway located at the side of the mall. Worth the visit to just see how it is but nothing too spectacular.

We attempted to take a photo here with the colorful stairway, but of course, failed! haha.. at least we tried.

There was another hall next door with a lot more smaller stalls selling items but we were too late to see any of these stalls but it doesn't stop my husband from enjoying this JR train! He said "please take a picture of me in this! we didn't get to try one when we were in Tokyo so this will do".

Lalaport KL Mall used to be the very famous Pudu Prison. They destroyed the prison and transformed it into a mall but leaving behind the main entrance for memory's sake. Smart, very smart!

Another "photograph opportunity" area with this W just for it's architecture purposes.

I find this artwork very interesting located on one of the staircases. Very arty!

Last but not least, here's us again. I am trying my best to look okay and manage my mood to have a relaxing time with my husband who is amazing at understanding in what I need when I am down and almost out. We did not talk much during this outing as I wasn't in the mood and he reminded me, we do not need to talk. Just enjoy one another and relax as we headed out for an impromptu date. I am so grateful for him and marrying him has been one of the greatest decisions I've made. Cheers to many more decades! I love you my dearest husband, Patrick Lee!
