I can say that my mom understands your wife perfectly. The same thing happened when I came to Medellin, from Puerto la Cruz. I think they are stages, little by little you as parents will let go of your little girl and more when it comes to fulfilling her dreams. Too bad to see that the travel system for the island is very chaotic, before coming from Puerto la Cruz the system for traveling on the Ferry was already very deteriorated. We are doing well so far filfilling those stages. Probably a bit slower than most, but given the current circumstances and her personality, it had to be like this.
She is doing fine so far
The good thing about kids is that they do not pay much attention to the issues around the services (like ferry, housing, food, etc). They still have the capacity to see all good and have fun regardless.
That's a plus on their side.
