Sinceramente cuando yo era un novato no tuve la oportunidad de hacerme esta pregunta, mis padres tenían otras obligaciones y comprar una guitarra acústica no era la primera opción, mucho menos comprar una guitarra eléctrica, así que tuve que improvisar bastante y buscar guitarras prestadas para poder iniciar.
Mi primera Guitarra fue una guitarra acústica y no, no fue de marca Yamaha, era una guitarra vieja y con las cuerdas oxidadas a tal punto que una de esas cuerdas estaba que se reventaba. Pasó el año y mi padrino me regaló una guitarra que el ya no usaba, era una guitarra de marca "Madrileña" no era de una marca muy buena pero para mí era mucho mas que suficiente, estaba demasiado feliz.
Al tiempo me compraron otra guitarra acústica pero de cuerdas de metal. ¿Cual es la diferencia? pues eso lo veremos en otro post.

La respuesta es No. De primeras ambas tienen muchas cosas en común ya que si tocas la guitarra acústica cuando agarres una eléctrica ya tendrás ciertas cosas adelantadas, sin embargo, así como en la guitarra acústica existen métodos y técnicas diferentes que ayudan a tocar la guitarra eléctrica de una mejor manera. La estructura de ambas guitarras, la forma en la que suenan, entre otras cosas son diferentes. Entonces...
¿si quiero aprender a tocar guitarra eléctrica debo aprender a tocar la guitarra acústica primero?
No es obligatorio pero la gente lo recomienda porque la guitarra acústica normalmente es mas dura de tocar que la eléctrica, entonces cuando ya tengas una leve experiencia en la guitarra acústica cuando pases a la eléctrica no se te hará tan complicado. Puedes empezar tranquilamente con la guitarra que desees.
¿Cual es mas difícil de tocar?
Ambas son igual de complejas en sus áreas, puedes llegar a ser muy bueno o buena en la guitarra eléctrica pero en la acústica no tanto, al igual que puedes llegar a ser muy bueno o buena en la guitarra acústica pero en la eléctrica no. y puedes ser un híbrido(a) o sea que eres muy bueno o buena en ambas guitarras.
