As we all know
In a split system, the compressor condenses and circulates the refrigerant through the outdoor unit, changing it from a gas to a liquid. The liquid is then forced through the indoor evaporator coil or cooling compartment. The indoor unit's fan circulates the inside air to pass across the evaporator fins.
It is mandatory we service and maintain our Air Conditioning machines to avoid malfunctioning. According to experience this should be done 4months from new installation.
Getting down to brass task
For this lesson i will be using the Hisense and LG company as case study
Steps To follow
- Remove indoor Unit Filter:this filter traps dust and prevents it from entering the room NOTE:we have a pair of filters for a particular unit. And they are dirty
- Wash the filters with soup and water to remove dust And dry..
Drying process
For the outdoor unit **
3.Open the top panel of the unit**
- Properly clean the fan blades /evaporator coil which are the two most prominent items there. And leave to dry
5 with a soft towel clean the surface of the indoor unit
6 Fix back you properly washed and dried Indoor unit Filter
- Cover your outdoor top Panel assuming it's all dried
8 carry a test run to see how well your maintenance went. If the room doesn't cool up this means there is less gas in the compressor
