Hiii Hiversss! I'm back again after how many days of not posting any blogs because of how busy I am and how much paperwork I have to do. Now that I have time, I'm going to share with you the event we handled during our MICE subject last year. Jingle Competition before our acquaintance time.
Before the proper class of our mice subject, our instructor already told us that we were going to handle and make our own events. So my classmates and I plan and think of an event that we will be the ones to handle, and that's the jingle competition.
We prepare ahead of time. Give each one of us different roles and tasks to do so it will be easy for us to know who are the ones assigned to different tasks. Charm and I were assigned to do the certificates and leis or garland, but before the day and the day of our event, it's like I have so many roles.
Before the day of our event, we designed the stage so that we would not procrastinate on the day. But before that we're so stressed because no one wants to join our event competition, some back out before the said date which makes us all worried. But luckily we still have 3 participants.
Buying all the materials needed and doing the designs makes us all tired. We're so tired designing the stage even though we are so many. Preparing all the certificates, invitation cards, leis, tokens, etc. We go home in our houses late at night that day, and still we're not done designing the stage. So the next day, our call time was 7 in the early morning because we still have a lot of tasks to do, and the time of our event is 10:00 am.
We easily do our different tasks and prepare all the things so that later on our program flow will be smooth. Even though there are so many lapses and challenges, we still manage to easily come up with a solution.
At 10 am we start our program, call the judges and the participants so we can end before lunch time. Our participants come into different departments. They performed well, and we all had a great time watching the participants. There's one group that forgets their jingle so their classmate prepares a copy of their jingles behind the judges. It was fun seeing them like that, and they just enjoyed it and went with the flow. We just cheered for them so they won't feel embarrassed.
Although we had a lot of lapses and challenges. Teamwork is the best tool to make the event successful. Without teamwork, we wouldn't make this event a successful one. We still had a lot of improvements to make, not just individually but also as a group. Planning and accepting all the side comments makes us improve ourselves and know what to do next to not make that mistake or lapse anymore.

I remember my grade 10 moment when I was chosen as the grade 10 representative. Life was so hectic back then, so many responsibilities. Whenever there is an event, I was always bombarded with works to be done before the said event. But still I have find ways to enjoy. So keep up the good work and enjoy 💙
Handling an event was never easy but eventually you'll love it and all the sacrifices will be worth it in the end.
