Hope on the Horizon
Hope. How many people go through life in quiet desperation without any? Or with very little? This account has been created to help provide some.
Those of us moved to try to help can be quickly overcome by the scope of the challenge. So many in need. Who are we to think we can do anything about it?
And then how would we determine if we have been successful? In this era of "trust the data," etc., can hope be measured somehow?
Perhaps you have been through your version of a similar challenge, dear reader. If so, maybe this post will provide you some inspiration.
In fact, let's start there ...
Inspiration
While we may not have the means to provide hope and help to many, how about helping one? And while we may not have the means to provide start-up resources for a big enterprise, how about a ... "micro" ... enterprise? 💡!
With an appeal, not for a hand-out, but for funds to start a small business, friends of a small group of people in eastern Venezuela were inspired to respond.
To what? An appeal for 10s of 1,000s of dollars? No. 1,000s of dollars? No. $100!
Provision of these funds was deemed to be sufficient to launch their inspired enterprise, in an effort to generate income to help those in physical need around them. And talk to them about spiritual needs as well, if the opportunity presents itself.
So, with the provision of these funds, a "micro" enterprise is in the process, as this is written, of being brought to life!
What do you think, dear reader? Not too bad? Maybe some support for a little hope? Maybe not across the world, but ... In a rural part of eastern Venezuela?
But wait! Not done yet! There was more inspiration!!
Investing and Compound Interest
With today's relentlessly unfolding opportunities in DeFi (decentralized finance), based upon the very new technology of blockchains, how do we compare them with TradFi (traditional finance), based upon centuries old technology / tradition?
Well, whatever the answer pouring out of the endless stream of publications covering this question, there is a vitally important aspect of it that was "right in the bullseye" of responding to the opportunity to help these people!
The vast majority of people across this world simply have neither the means nor the access to take advantage of TradFi opportunities. But ... Is that true of DeFi opportunities?
NO!
It is remarkable today how many people across the globe have a cell phone. And with it, the incredible range of services that are now available to them. Including DeFi opportunities!
The inspiration was to "open the door" to all the financial benefits of learning to invest, in general, and how to harness the power of compound interest, in particular! Up to this time, an opportunity like this was about as remote as their location in Venezuela.
The protocol selected for this "learning opportunity?" Based on the experience of the friends of these people, there was no better DeFi protocol known than EMP Money. Much as the U. S. dollar was once backed by gold, EMP is backed by Ethereum.
If there is to be any future in crypto at all, all signs point to Ethereum playing a key role in it. To the friends of these people, there was no better known way to take advantage of investing in Ethereum than EMP Money.

Esperanza en el Horizonte
La esperanza. ¿Cuántas personas van por la vida en una tranquila desesperación sin ninguna? ¿O con muy poca? Esta cuenta ha sido creada para ayudar a proporcionar alguna.
Los que nos sentimos movidos a intentar ayudar podemos vernos rápidamente superados por el alcance del desafío. Hay tantos necesitados. ¿Quiénes somos nosotros para pensar que podemos hacer algo al respecto?
¿Y entonces cómo determinaríamos si hemos tenido éxito? En esta época de "confiar en los datos", etc., ¿se puede medir la esperanza de alguna manera?
Quizás usted haya pasado por su versión de un reto similar, querido lector. Si es así, tal vez este post le sirva de inspiración.
De hecho, empecemos por ahí...
Inspiración
Aunque no tengamos los medios para proporcionar esperanza y ayuda a muchos, ¿qué tal si ayudamos a uno? Y aunque no tengamos los medios para proporcionar recursos para la puesta en marcha de una gran empresa, ¿qué tal una ... "microempresa"? 💡!
Con un llamamiento, no a una limosna, sino a fondos para iniciar un pequeño negocio, los amigos de un pequeño grupo de personas en el este de Venezuela se animaron a responder.
¿A qué? ¿Una petición de 10.000 dólares? No. ¿1.000s de dólares? No. ¡100 dólares!
La provisión de estos fondos se consideró suficiente para lanzar su inspirada empresa, en un esfuerzo por generar ingresos para ayudar a los necesitados físicos de su entorno. Y hablarles también de las necesidades espirituales, si se presentaba la oportunidad.
¡Así que, con la provisión de estos fondos, una "micro" empresa está en proceso, mientras esto se escribe, de ser llevada a la vida!
¿Qué te parece, querido lector? ¿No está tan mal? ¿Tal vez un poco de apoyo para un poco de esperanza? Tal vez no en todo el mundo, pero ... ¿En una zona rural del este de Venezuela?
Pero ¡espera! ¡Todavía no ha terminado! ¡¡Hubo más inspiración!!
La inversión y el interés compuesto
Con las incesantes oportunidades actuales en DeFi (finanzas descentralizadas), basadas en la novísima tecnología de las cadenas de bloques, ¿cómo las comparamos con TradFi (finanzas tradicionales), basadas en una tecnología/tradición centenaria?
¡Bueno, sea cual sea la respuesta que surja del interminable flujo de publicaciones que cubren esta cuestión, hay un aspecto de vital importancia que estaba "justo en la diana" de responder a la oportunidad de ayudar a estas personas!
La inmensa mayoría de las personas de este mundo simplemente no tienen ni los medios ni el acceso para aprovechar las oportunidades de TradFi. Pero... ¿Es eso cierto para las oportunidades DeFi?
¡NO!
Hoy en día es notable la cantidad de personas en todo el mundo que tienen un teléfono móvil. Y con él, la increíble gama de servicios que ahora están disponibles para ellos. ¡Incluyendo las oportunidades DeFi!
¡La inspiración fue "abrir la puerta" a todos los beneficios financieros de aprender a invertir, en general, y cómo aprovechar el poder del interés compuesto, en particular! Hasta ese momento, una oportunidad como ésta era tan remota como su ubicación en Venezuela.
