Si lo sucedido en Australia con Djokovic hubiese pasado en China, los titulares de la prensa mundial se habrían volcado en condenar el autoritarismo del país comunista. Pero, mira por donde, eso ha sucedido en Australia, lugar que nadie tildaría de antidemocrático.
Si lo sucedido ayer en Australia hubiese pasado hace tres años, los titulares de la prensa habrían reprobado la actuación de dicho país por discriminadora, intolerante e incluso totalitaria. También estoy persuadido de que no habría salido de la boca del bueno y admirado Nadal la arenga contra la actuación de su oponente deportivo.
Tampoco habría sido admisible un par de años atrás que el presidente de un país democrático, llámese Francia, dijese que iba a joder a parte de la población. Como tampoco la mayoría de la gente hubiera perdonado el cúmulo de mentiras que el poder ha esparcido este último bienio. Y menos aún la tropelía de acciones en contra de la libertad y de los derechos de la persona.
Pocos años atrás gran parte de la gente se habría ruborizado al sentirse culpable por creer más de dos veces a quien le miente. Ahora no. Ahora se admite la mentira como medio curativo. Se acepta que aquello que te garantizaba la inmunidad en un noventa y tantos por ciento, poco después sólo sirva para que no te mueras. Del todo, supongo yo. Se admite usar un “pasaporte” que no tiene sentido. Se pregona a los cuatro vientos cuantas dosis te has inoculado, como si de competición a ciudadano ejemplar se tratara.
De lo anterior, resulta especialmente grave que un jefe de Estado, cuyo deber es velar por toda la ciudadanía, desprecie así a una parte importante de la población. En otro momento de la historia lo dicho por Macron hubiera hecho rodar cabezas en el cadalso, y entre ellas la suya. Sin embargo, hoy ese acto parece ser aplaudido por una amplia parte de los franceses. Aquella Francia, ese lugar que pregonó aquello de Libertad, Igualdad y Fraternidad, ha degenerado. Se ha depravado tanto que a buen seguro aquellos ilustrados del XVIII se revuelven hoy en su tumba.
Y lo anterior sólo es una pequeña muestra del momento que vivimos, y que a mucho pesar no parece tener vuelta atrás de forma pacífica. Por ello, cabe preguntarse: ¿cómo es posible haber llegado a esta situación en tan pocos meses?, ¿cómo se ha podido cambiar tan rápidamente la percepción de los hechos que nos rodean?, o ¿hasta qué punto es posible modificar la mente humana con abultadas mentiras? Convendría que nos hiciéramos estas y otras preguntas, porque resulta difícil entender que hayamos alcanzado un punto de irracionalidad como el que padecemos.
Pero sí, sea como sea, hemos llegado a un estadio impensable hace escaso tiempo. Un punto donde prima la intolerancia, aceptándose esta como algo bueno. Se admite como dogma todo aquello que el poder dice, y no se tolera al discrepante. O perteneces a la secta o estás contra ella, no hay tinte medio. Y ríase usted de la pasada Inquisición, porque en aquella aún podías demostrar tu inocencia.
Está claro que los autores de toda esta pesadilla lo han sabido hacer bien, muy bien. Su trabajo no tiene reproche. Otra vez la ventana de Overton movida de manera perfecta. En cuestión de meses fueron inculcando el pánico y el terror en la mente de las personas, consiguiendo que estas se comporten como meros animales frente al fuego. Individuos mentalmente inermes dispuestos a acatar cualquier orden por disparatada que sea. Simples oyentes; ausentes sin capacidad de crítica que actúan como figurantes con brazalete punidor en una obra tétrica y macabra, pródiga de falsedades.
Todo esto puede tener varios finales. Dejo de lado aquellos que conllevan final cruento. Me inclino por finales sin color rojo: la lucha sin desfallecimiento de los despiertos hasta que se consiga reanimar a las masas. Por mi parte, haré todo lo posible para que sea así.

That France, that place that proclaimed that of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity, has degenerated. He has been so depraved that the enlightened ones of the 18th century are surely turning in his grave today.
And the above is just a small sample of the moment in which we live, and that despite much regret does not seem to have a peaceful return. That is why it is worth asking: how is it possible to have reached this situation in so few months? How has the perception of the events around us changed so rapidly? Or to what extent is it possible to modify the human mind with voluminous lies? We must ask ourselves these and other questions, because it is difficult to understand that we have reached a point of irrationality like the one we suffer.
But yes, it is possible, we have recently reached an unthinkable stage. A point where intolerance reigns, accepting this as a good thing. Everything that the power says is admitted as dogma and dissent is not tolerated. Either you belong to the sect or you are against it, there are no intermediate nuances. And you laugh at the last Inquisition, because in that one you could still prove your innocence.
It is clear that the authors of all this nightmare have known how to do it well, very well. His work is irreproachable. Once again, the Overton window moved perfectly. In a matter of months, they instilled panic and terror in people's minds, causing them to behave like simple animals in front of the fire. Helpless mental individuals willing to comply with any order, no matter how crazy. Simple listeners; absent without the ability to criticize those who act like extras with a bracelet of punishment in a gloomy and macabre work, prodigious in falsehoods.
