Greetings
Excellent day for all this beautiful community of hive and the incredible world of Splinterlands, I hope you are all very well, today I bring you back content for all those Splinterlands game lovers, I brought you a battle that I liked a lot where my splinter of death faces the splinter of water which I consider to be one of the best splinters in the game, let's see how we did in this battle, let's start!
Battle
In this battle my enemy and I are in equal numbers of monsters, besides the stats of their monsters are a bit similar to my monsters so at first glance I think it will be an even battle, the battle begins and the summoners do their job the enemy summoner increases the speed and armor to their monsters while my summoner lowers one point of melee attack to the enemy monsters.
An enemy monster uses his ability to reduce the speed of my monsters so the enemy starts hitting first, in the first round my tank is very weak in life but thanks to my summoner reduced the enemy melee attack damage it manages to survive, and then my monsters show all their fury and just in the first round they manage to annihilate two enemy monsters.
In round 2 my enemy does not give up and manages to kill two of my monsters but I take the advantage by annihilating another enemy monster and so when round three begins only one enemy monster remains, in this final stage of the battle I thought I would lose because the remaining enemy monster was very powerful, however I took advantage of the ability of my monster that was in first position to increase its life and resist more in the battle, in this way I endured enough and managed to weaken my opponent to kill him and get the victory.
Standards
For this battle we have 14 mana points to spend, this is the lowest number of mana I've had in the game, being so low the amount of mana to spend I must manage my plays well to create good combinations, luckily my monsters combine very well and know how to handle low amounts of mana points.
The standard rules of the game have no modification so any kind of splinter and cards within the battlefield are valid.
Cards used
Zintar Morthails: for this battle I used Zintar Morthails as a summoner, this powerful summoner reduces one point of melee attack to the opponent, I think this ability is very good and it became evident in the battle because thanks to it I could hold longer with my tank in the early rounds and thus cause more damage to the opponent.
Crypt Beetle: this insect-like monster from the underworld has the ability to reduce melee attacks and ranged attacks, statistically it has one point of armor, two health points, one point of speed and one point of melee attack, its ability compensates very well for its low health level because it takes less damage and manages to be difficult to kill.
Maggots: this monster which is formed by a herd of worms has the ability to attack from any position and targets the enemy monster with less health points, its stats are balanced but low because it has one health point, one speed point and one melee attack point, the truth is that I have been using this monster for several battles and it can be very well used as long as it is placed in a good position where the enemy does not do so much damage.
Life Sapper: this monster has a great ability which was fundamental to obtain the victory in this battle, this ability allows it to regenerate its health when it damages the opponent's health in proportion to the damage inflicted, in terms of statistics it has two points of life, two points of speed and one point of magic attack.
Undead Badger: this monster is a cat that seems to come from the underworld, it has the ability to attack the enemy monster located in the last position, statistically it has one health point and one melee attack point, however it is very fast because it has 3 speed points.
Strategy
At the beginning of the battle I knew it was going to be a very even battle, because statistically my opponent and I were very similar, but I could see that the key point of my opponent was his monster Deeplurker, as it is a monster that has very high statistics, that's why my opponent placed it in the last position to protect it and make it last longer in the battle, so I knew that my biggest problem was him.
My strategy was to weaken Deeplurker with the ability of my monster Undead Badger which can attack the last position, this way I managed to hurt him throughout the battle, besides that I knew I had to have good resistance to withstand the opponent's attacks, So I decided to make the most of Life Sapper's ability to increase his health every time he attacked, that's why I wanted Life and Undead to last the whole battle, so I placed them in the last positions, so that they would kill Deepluerker in the end.
Although the battle was a little complicated in the end this strategy worked perfectly because at the end of the battle Life and Undead made a good combination to kill Deeplurker which was already very touched because he received constant damage in the battle.
Used chips
As I mentioned before the splinter that I use my rival is water type, the truth is that this splinter is one of the most complete of the game and its monsters have good stats and skills, facing against this splinter is not easy, its design is really good, the cards are mostly blue and its monsters are very striking and varied that transmit you an aura of power, it is a combination of power and elegance.
On the other hand I used death splinter, this splinter is also very powerful, its monsters are characterized by having very good abilities and they are cards that combine very well, you can make incredible plays with a deck of death splinter, its design is dark and scary as expected, its monsters have the most fearsome aspect of the whole game and can scare any opponent.
Comparing these two types of splinter I must say that the water splinter has better stats than the death splinter, however when it comes to skills the death splinter has better from my point of view, although the water splinter also has very good skills I think that with the death splinter you can make better combinations and thus make your monsters work well as a team.
What would you try differently?
For this battle it would be interesting to change the position of Maggots to the last position, as it has low stats I think it is a monster that you must protect very well to take good advantage of it, so in this case because my opponent did not have a monster with the ability to attack in the last position it would be a good strategy to place Maggots in that position.
