Hello! Hive's friends.
Today I want to share with you, a poem I wrote some time ago. Where I reflect from my point of view the situation of the Venezuelan youth. I must confess that I felt nervous about other people reading what I write. However, thanks to the opportunity that Hive gives me, I can express my opinions and in this way make each one of you a little piece of me.
Young people today have many limitations in terms of education, jobs and even the possibility of being able to gain independence. There are many problems that affect us emotionally, adding to the daily concern of scarcity, insecurity and inflation. Social progress seems distant, so each person is looking for a better future, and the idea and desire to leave the country is common.
Un adolescente es un ser audaz,
con mucha energía, entusiasmo y tenacidad.
Su país tiene que ser de oportunidades
para que desarrolle sus habilidades.
Sin los espacios adecuados,
una monotonía los mantendrá estancados.
Hay que hacer cola para lograr alimentarse,
la salud y recreación limitadas están,
con que fuerza su mundo descubrirá.
Es triste y alarmante para esta sociedad,
son los próximos forjadores de la nación.
Les faltará el sentimiento de la inspiración.
En la calle, la violencia aprenderá.
Las drogas, el sexo y la mezquindad
es lo que posiblemente encontrará.
El joven ya no estudiará.
Su visión del mundo
será la maldad que acogerá.
Los padres a diario planearán
Que elementos buscar sin gastar
porque la plata no alcanzará.
Pobre Venezuela, que calamidad traerá
Debemos centrar las fuerzas
en cambiar la manera de pensar.
The Captivity of Youth
A teenager is a bold being,
with a lot of energy, enthusiasm and tenacity.
Your country has to be one of opportunity
to develop his skills.
Without the right spaces,
a monotony will keep them in a rut.
You have to line up to get fed,
limited health and recreation are,
with what strength your world will discover.
It is sad and alarming for this society,
are the nation's next forger
They will lack the feeling of inspiration.
On the street, violence will learn.
Drugs, sex and pettiness
is what you're likely to find.
The young man will no longer study.
His view of the world
will be the evil that will take in.
Parents will plan on a daily basis
What elements to look for without spending
because the money won't be enough.
Poor Venezuela, what a calamity it will bring
We must focus the forces
in changing the way of thinking.
Personally, I think nothing lasts forever. If I had to sum up all my dreams in a single objective for the future, it would be: "To be happy", despite the circumstances, that is what I am really looking for, happiness.
