Recently I was invited by @manuelramos to join an initiative he created. I was really surprised, but at the same time very happy, since it is a sign that everything we share expands to many places. This idea of telling the thousands of stories that can happen behind a Selfie is innovative and interesting. I hope you like this story that I am going to tell you.

Hace poco fui invitada por @manuelramos para unirme a una iniciativa que él creó. Realmente me sorprendió, pero a su vez me alegró muchísimo, ya que es señal de que todo lo que compartimos se expande a muchos lugares. Esta idea de contar las miles de historias que pueden ocurrir detrás de una Selfie es innovadora e interesante. Espero que les guste esta historia que les voy a contar.

Ella es mi prima Enmarys, la conozco hace 19 años y desde que tengo uso de razón siempre hemos estado juntas. A medida que íbamos creciendo pasamos por varias facetas en nuestra relación, obviamente teníamos las típicas peleas de niñas traviesas declarándonos odio a muerte, pero casi al instante estábamos de nuevo riéndonos y jugando.

She is my cousin Enmarys, I have known her for 19 years and since I can remember we have always been together. As we grew up we went through various facets in our relationship, obviously we had the typical naughty girl fights declaring hate to death, but almost instantly we were laughing and playing again.

Cuando entramos en la adolescencia nos distanciamos a tal punto de que casi ni nos veíamos, cada quien tenía un círculo de amigos diferentes, aunque coincidíamos a veces en el mismo colegio. Pero, ¿Saben qué? Eso nunca nos quitó nuestro apoyo incondicional ante cualquier problema que se nos pudiese presentar.

When we entered adolescence we became so distant that we hardly ever saw each other, each of us having a different circle of friends, even though we sometimes coincided at the same school. But you know what? That never took away our unconditional support for any problem that might come our way.

Finalmente llegó la universidad, estábamos inscritas en la misma universidad en nuestra Ciudad de Cumaná, teníamos grandes expectativas sobre las carreras que habíamos escogimos. Aunque por azares de la vida no nos fue tan bien ya que, en la misma se generaron muchos problemas institucionales. Nos sentíamos perdidas y fracasadas, entonces como equipo y con ayuda de nuestra familia decidimos irnos a otro estado para poder concretar nuestros estudios universitarios y convertirnos de esta manera en profesionales.

Finally the university arrived, we were enrolled in the same university in our city of Cumaná, we had great expectations about the careers we had chosen. Although, due to the circumstances, it didn't go so well because it generated many institutional problems. We felt lost and failed, so as a team and with the help of our family we decided to go to another state to be able to complete our university studies and thus become professionals.

Actualmente cursamos el 2do año de Ingeniería de Mantenimiento, hemos formado un calor de hogar lejos de casa y muchas veces eso es lo que las personas necesitan después de un extenso día de trabajo e incluso de enfrentar algún problema. Mutuamente nos ayudamos en la universidad, con los deberes de la residencia donde habitamos y para todo estamos juntas. Sin duda alguna, más que una prima, ella es una hermana, amiga y confidente.

We are currently in our 2nd year of Maintenance Engineering, we have formed a home away from home heat and many times that is what people need after an extended day of work and even facing some problem. We help each other at the university, with the duties of the residence where we live and for everything we are together. Without a doubt, more than a cousin, she is a sister, friend and confidant.

Quizás mis sueños de ahora cambien mañana, o aparezcan unos nuevos en la lista, la vida es muy variante. A lo mejor, mis sueños son parecidos a la de otra persona, y que al momento de lograrlo le sirva de motivación para que ellos también puedan hacerlo.

Maybe my dreams of today will change tomorrow, or new ones will appear on the list, life is very variable. Maybe my dreams are similar to someone else's, and when they do, it will motivate them to do it too.

Me gustaría seguir con esta iniciativa y hacer que llegue a más personas. Quiero invitar a mi amiga @lucianav.
