It was the fifth month of my voluntary-forced stay in Bulgaria. As they say, and who is still there. It is still not clear when the planes will fly and open the border with Russia.
Meanwhile, the first tourists from Europe arrived. Two days ago, the first plane from Amsterdam landed at Burgas airport. There is so much waiting for tourists that even the mayor of the city came to meet this plane. Yesterday, tourists arrived from London, and tomorrow they are waiting for a plane from Athens… All are placed in complexes of Sunny Beach. There is no quarantine for tourists from Europe. We arrived, and immediately swim, eat and walk to the fullest.
In June, there were two export flights from Moscow to Sofia. Bulgaria-air took its citizens and those who have a residence permit or permanent residence out of Russia, now they can rest in their homes, although you can only leave your home after a 14-day quarantine. By the way, the plane from Bulgaria flew to Moscow completely empty…
And at this time, the epidemiological situation in Bulgaria is not so good. A week ago there was a surge of diseases avidly. Almost 100 people a day… Therefore the plane from Riga to Bulgaria was not allowed and the flight was canceled… The measures were extended until July 15. No gatherings or get-togethers on the premises of restaurants only in open areas. In all institutions, shops, and transport, you can only enter in masks.
It's all sad. I am happy only with the excellent weather. The sun was hot, too hot. The sand on the beach heats up to red, it already looks white… My feet are burning up… The air warms up to 35 degrees by 12 o'clock in the afternoon. Water in the sea is like milk, 23 degrees. There are a lot of people on the beach, although there is still a lot of free space... Swimming every day, I noticed an interesting thing. Bulgarians do not swim at all, they just go up to their waists and stand chatting or throwing a ball to each other or lying near the shore in the rolling waves. Why, they live by the sea and don't know how to swim... But they lie on the sand for an endless time, and they tan themselves black.
There is already a lot of fruit, almost everything costs 2-3 leva (80-120 rubles) per kilogram. Cherries are leaving, but a lot of different peaches and apricots, there are figs and grapes, watermelons with a very thin crust, small sweet melons… Well a lot of other things…
