what would I see?
Perhaps a world in shadows
where love would not exist.
I see the brightness of your laughter
but with your cold gaze,
perhaps a worn canvas,
painted with melancholy.
I would see a landscape in ruins,
where the sun never smiles,
where the wind brings its sorrows
and hope hides and dies.
Perhaps an uncertain path,
adorned with sleeplessness,
not a flame lit,
but ashes of longing.
If even the echo should turn
in the whisper of lament,
I would see a troubled sea,
without harbour, without foundation.
