Goal Setting for the New Year: NO PRESSURE

in GEMS3 years ago

Hello Everyone today is the 17th day of the new year, so it's still very much right I wish everyone a happy new year.

Last year is gone and a lot of us made goals and plans some of which were achieved and some which weren't achieved.

This new year, my advice for you is to feel no pressure and don't measure your standards of success with anyone as we all are walking different journies no matter how similar they may be.

While some of us might have made plans and some might not have made plans for the new year. For those who have not made plans for this year, don't put yourself under pressure because you haven't set goals and then begin to set unrealistic goals for this year.

Here are a few steps that I practice can that help you set and plan to smash goals this year.

  • Take notes of the things you want to achieve for this year and please write them down as last year I made the mistake of thinking that just having a mental note of my goals is just enough.

  • Break those goals down into simple tasks you can achieve at least an hour or two each day, as the point of it all is consistency.

  • Getting an accountability partner or someone who can keep you in check and see how you're progressing towards achieving your goals.

  • Then waking up each morning to check and analyze your progress and what task you can complete for at least an hour that day brings you closer to your goals.

  • Another thing a lot of people miss out which is a vital tool is rewarding yourself

With these simple steps. Have a blast this new year and Cheers to your success🎉🎉🎉.

Peace Out✌✌

The part that really got me, @manny-uncharted , is the aspect of rewarding oneself. Now, what I do is, for every goal(ets) I place little rewards beside it just so to ginger me to achieve them

Nice steps, only those with visions have direction, if a goal is not formed now when will it be done, but like you said, don't take what you can't do...
I enjoy it...

I'm glad you did enjoy it
