Encontré un globo rojo,
atorado entre el rastrojo,
en la noche podría morir solo,
por la picadura de un insecto odioso
y lo llevé para evitar su deterioro.
I found a red balloon,
stuck in the stubble,
in the night it could die alone,
by the bite of an obnoxious insect.
and I took it to avoid its deterioration.
Lo guardé en un recipiente de vidrio,
limpio y bien bonito,
ahí estará protegido,
hasta que haya amanecido
y pueda volar seguro y tranquilo.
I kept it in a glass container,
clean and nice,

until the sun has risen

Y cuando la mañana llega,
abro la tapa para que su vuelo emprenda
no lo hace, el globo no se eleva,
es como si no supiera,
como se debe ser libre en esta tierra.

and off they both go into the blue sky,
