Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la torta que le hice a mi hijo mayor quien cumplió 15 años y aunque aquí en Venezuela es normal celebrar los 15 a las chicas, yo quise celebrar el cumpleaños de mi hijo y por eso hoy comparto los pasos a seguir para hacer la torta de números. Espero puedan atreverse a hacerlas en sus hogares así que rápido, toma papel y lápiz y anota los consejos.
Today I want to share with you the cake I made for my oldest son who turned 15 and although here in Venezuela it is normal to celebrate 15 years for girls, I wanted to celebrate my son's birthday and that is why today I share the steps to follow to make the number cake. I hope you can dare to do them at home so quickly, grab a pencil and paper and write down the tips.
Materiales:
-Cuchillo
-Cartulina o cartón o papel bond
-Lápiz o lapicero
-Materiales para una torta tipo ponqué
-Materiales para el merengue suizo
-Bandeja de panadería
Materials:
-Knife
-Cardboard or cardboard or bond paper
-Pencil or pencil
-Materials for a cake type ponqué
-Materials for Swiss meringue
-Bakery tray
-Lo primero que debemos hacer es la torta tipo ponqué a la que extenderemos en la bandeja panadera para que quede más larga, la metemos al horno, particularmente la hice marmoleada.
-The first thing we should do is the cake type ponqué to which we will spread on the baking tray to make it longer, we put it in the oven, particularly I made it marbling.
-Mientras la torta se hace procedemos a cortar dibujar y luego cortar el número deseado, en mi caso fueron dos números por lo que tuve que hacer aproximadamente medio kilo de torta o un poco más.
-While the cake is made we proceed to cut draw and then cut the desired number, in my case they were two numbers so I had to make approximately half a kilo of cake or a little more.
-Armamos el merengue con huevos y azúcar y lo dejamos reposar.
-We assemble the meringue with eggs and sugar and let it rest.
-Una vez lista la torta, la dejamos reposar un poco y colocamos con mucho cuidado el número escogido, cuidando de aprovechar todos los espacios, no te preocupes si sobra torta pues esa sobra yo la usé para adornar la torta haciendo trufas.
-Once the cake is ready, let it rest a little and place the chosen number very carefully, taking care to take advantage of all the spaces, do not worry if there is leftover cake because I used that leftover to decorate the cake making truffles.
-Empezamos a cortar con mucha paciencia el número escogido con la ayuda del cuchillo, si no te da toda la torta hecha puedes agrupar los pedazos que queden, igual ella va con merengue y allí podemos tapar las uniones hechas.
-We begin to cut with great patience the chosen number with the help of the knife, if it does not give you all the made cake you can group the pieces that remain, just as it goes with meringue and there we can cover the joints made.
-Una vez cortado el número escogido, procedemos a adornar con el merengue alrededor usando también tu creatividad ya que el mangueado aunque tiene su técnica, suele ser muy personal.
-Once the chosen number has been cut, we proceed to decorate with the meringue around it, also using your creativity, since the handle, although it has its technique, is usually very personal.
-Luego de decorar con el merengue suizo, se pueden colocar dulces, mini galletas, mini suspiros, lo que desees. En mi caso solo lo decoré con trufas porque mi hijo no quería tantas cosas porque según él, eso es de niñas, jejejeje.
-After decorating with the Swiss meringue, you can place sweets, mini cookies, mini sighs, whatever you want. In my case I only decorated it with truffles because my son did not want so many things because according to him, that is for girls, hehehehe.
