Hello dear friends of hive, this time I want to tell you about a species of plants very peculiar and loved by many, which are succulents.
What is a succulent?
They are those that their roots, stems and leaves thicken in order to generate the storage of water in much greater quantities than other common plants allowing them to maintain liquid reserves for prolonged periods.
In this species of plants there are more than 60 families that are classified as succulents, a very curious fact about these plants is that they prefer to withstand warmer temperatures and are unable to withstand cold temperatures, it should also be noted that sun exposure as well as lack of water often lead to a color change in succulents.
Succulents are easy to propagate. In many of these species it is very easy to grow seedlings from leaves.
It is important to highlight the differences between cacti and succulents; not all succulents are cacti but all cacti are succulent.
Succulents are seedlings that always store water in stems, roots, and leaves. Unlike cacti, which are horned seedlings that store water but do not have leaves, but after all, cacti end up being from the same family of succulents.
For the care and conservation of this species it must have mainly lighting, they need at least half a day of sunlight, a good substrate; that is, a well drained soil make sure that it does not flood with water, water the seedlings only when the soil is extremely dry.
I invite you to plant a kind of succulents you will see how easy and creative it becomes, you can place it in any part of the house ensuring first that you have the aforementioned care, it will be in charge of decorating your house and making the environment more natural and attractive. I will be here to help and guide you with any questions and concerns regarding your plants.
I say goodbye with a huge and warm hug it's time to start appreciating the planet and all it has to offer
