Greetings friends of the @GEMS community, today I want to tell you about a wonderful place in my country Venezuela, where you can breathe Peace, Tranquility, pure air, I am talking about the imposing Waraira Repano, popularly known as El Ávila National Park, located in the Capital of the country Caracas.
Está ubicado específicamente al norte de grandes centros poblados como lo son Caracas, Guarenas, Guatire, este parque nacional sirve de lugar de esparcimiento a miles de personas; posee diferentes caminos por los cuales se puede ascender dependiendo del medio de transporte, a mi particularmente me encanta subir en el Teleférico, a pesar de ser muy antiguo siempre se les hace mejoras.
It is located specifically to the north of large populated centers such as Caracas, Guarenas, Guatire, this national park serves as a place of recreation for thousands of people; It has different paths by which you can ascend depending on the means of transport, I particularly love going up in the Cable Car, despite being very old, improvements are always made.
El Parque Nacional fue establecido con el nombre El Ávila el 12 de diciembre de 1958. Por Decreto Presidencial cambió su nombre a Parque Nacional Waraira Repano (que significa algo así como: "la ola que vino de lejos” o “la mar hecha tierra”. Según la mitología indígena, en tiempos antiguos no existía la montaña.) a fin de promover el vínculo cultural de los primeros pobladores indígenas de la región y honrar la herencia histórica aborigen que dio su nombre original.
The National Park was established with the name El Ávila on December 12, 1958.
