Once upon a time, I climbed that mountain. Kind of.
You see, I had just gotten my very first of several surgeries on my toe, but time was of the essence as I had scheduled to go to Nepal for a month following the Annapurna Circuit Trail.
To practice, I figured this mountain would be good to start, and my toe was recovering fairly well.
Turns out I was immensely unfit at that time. Combine that with my toe and the fact that I didn't sleep or eat the night before or the following morning, I was going up completely unprepared, unequipped, on an empty stomach, tired and generally being unfit as a lifestyle.
I went with some Korean friend of mine's uncle who was constantly zooming ahead of me and I was trying to keep up until, well, all the energy drinks I was imbibing to try and get through disagreed. I vomited a couple of times and... disappointed the uncle that we had to go back down an easier route.
Oh the humiliation...
Oddly enough I thrived in Nepal, 6,000 metres up.
Nice to see some memories through your pics again though! (Looks a lot nicer than when I went)
Annapurna sounds like quite the trip. Thats a unique story. I've also climbed after a few rough nights or wearing inappropriate attire.
I have much crazier experiences on the mountains in Southern Seoul like Gwanak and Cheongyesan.
Although, I did see quite a few people enjoying makgeolli up there, as usual.
I'm so used to old people surpassing me on the mountains, I've stopped caring.
