Hello Hiveians
Ankara fabrics come in different quality and rice but I believe in Nigeria here there are special values we place on our traditional fabric prints.
For instance apart from the native woven cultural wears like ofi and adire (in Yoruba dialect ( Adire is a tye and dye clothing material)) we value Ankara fabrics and they are usually worn in occasions like engagements, traditional weddings, church services and traditional gatherings.
Here is a construction of Ankara fabric into a beautiful long dress with a net yoke.
It is a princess bustier with a flair lower cut and in my previous post I have made a demonstration on how to cut this princess bustier.
The Ankara fabrics is the one of medium quality sold at 3000-4000 for 6yards of the material, these are high target prints
The one with lower quality goes for 1200-1300 for 6 yards called Igara in Yoruba dialect
While the one with highest quality goes from 10000 upward for 6 yard of the material.
The same design can be made for these three category of qualities and only people who are vast in buying ankara fabrics know their difference.
great design! and I love the color^^
