My name is Moshy. I am an expatriate in Dubai and have been here for over 30 years. I have been doing quite well, here.
I am a mother to three children who all since found careers across the borders. I came to the UAE with just a degree. Then I had my children, and only after 10 years I once again pursued and completed my MA, that was the year '98.
Today I remember the hard work that went into the birthing and educating my three children, the timeline of my life, and all the adventures I have been through while living in what felt like a real-life blockbuster.
Back in the day, I wrote poems in the annual magazine of the student college-life of Bangladesh. The poetry was printed in a local weekly called Zugeberry, then.
After emigrating, new environment, new house, unfamiliar weather. Travelled to a new state. Suddenly I thought
That’s when I started writing on daily necessities. They were published in a monthly magazine called "Mukul".
Throughout the years, quite a few of my writings have vanished due to moving and so on.
However few remain, I keep them close.
I started teaching in the UAE from 1991. I still enjoy my career as a teacher till date. So far, I have had the opportunities to give lessons in seven schools. Changed one school after another because I always wanted to teach the students attempting the board exams.
This journey of board exams started from the year 2000. The students did well in the CBSE board exams. I was honoured with a certificate from the board as an excellent teacher. I am grateful, humble and its nice to look back at those times.
Being located in an Arab country has given me the opportunity to learn the Arabic language, sometimes from books, sometimes from the Muslim scriptures. The government has facilitated and funded it, since all women are allowed to pursue their desire to learn the language, or even religion, in the mosques throughout the country. Currently sitting at home due to the pandemic.
I still can read or learn using zoom or teams.
During my leisure time I design my own clothes, bags, bands, and so on. With my sewing machine and sometimes with just hands, whatever fits for the projects. I find crafting really calming. I find myself stitching and designing something for myself when I get the time.

Oh, how many shirts and tops did I stitch for my children when they were younger? I have lost count. I used to knit them sweaters for the winter. I myself used to go to school wearing my own handmade blouses, bags, coats and sari. Some friends and even students said that I looked like the Prime Minister of my country. .
I also have a YouTube channel where I upload a wide variety of delicious homemade food. I have gotten a few Likes and so on. I would love to keep spending time cooking and sharing them with the world.
A few decades have passed in the midst of many sorrows and joys, in a foreign land.
I feel highly privileged and indeed lucky of sorts.
Hoping time passes as it is, and things end on the same high note.
আমার নাম মসি । আমি দুবাই প্রবাসী । দীর্ঘ বছর ধরে আছি । খুব ভাল আছি ।
একে একে তিন সন্তানের জননী এ প্রবাসে । দেশে ডিগ্রী শেষ করে আসছি ।
আজ মনে পড়ে তিন সন্তানের জন্ম ও শিক্ষা গ্রহণে যে কঠুর পরিশ্রম । দশ বছর
পর ১৯৯৮ সালে এম এ দেই ।
মাঝে মাঝে কবিতা লিখতম । দেশে ছাত্রী জীবনের কলেজের বাৎসরীক ম্যাগাজীনে
এবং যুগেবেরি নামের স্হানীয় সাপ্তাহিক পত্রিকায় কবিতা ছাপা হত,তখন খুব
খুশী হতা।
প্রবাসী হওয়ার পর নতুন পরিবেশ, নতুন ঘর,আত্বীয় সজনহীন আবহাওয়ার
পরির্বতন সব মিলে এক নতুরাজ্যে ভ্রমণ করি । হঠাৎ মনে হলো কি..রে লেখা-
লেখি কেন বন্ধ? আবার শুরু কোথা ও বেড়াতে গেলে তা লেখা । গল্প কবিতা
নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় বিষয়ে লেখা । "মুকুল" নামে মাসিক পত্রিকায় ছাপা
হয় ।
প্রবাসে শিক্ষকতা শরু করি ১৯৯১ সাল থেকে ২০২১ পর্যন্ত । এ শিক্ষকতায় সাতটি বিদ্যালয়ে পাঠ দানের সুযোগ হয় । একের পর এক বিদ্যালয় বদলানোর কারন –বোর্ড এর শিক্ষার্থী পড়াব।
২০০০ শাল থেকে যাত্রা শুরু করি শিক্ষার্থীরা ও ভাল ফল করে –বোর্ড পরীক্ষায় ।সি বি এসি শিক্ষা অধিদফতর থেকে ভাল শিক্ষকের মার্যাদায় আমাকে সার্টিফিকেট দিয়ে সম্মাণিত করা হয় ।আমি কৃজ্ঞতা স্বিকার করছি আমার সৃষ্টিকর্তার কাছে ।
আরব দেশে অবস্হান করায় সুযোগ হয়েছে মসলিম ধর্ম গ্রন্ত্র মুখস্ত করা, তা চেষ্টা করছি ।এ দেশে প্রতিটি মসজিদে সব মহিলাদের জন্য পড়ার সুবিধা করেছে সরকার । বর্তমানে করোনর জন্য ঘরে বসে জোম বা টিমস ব্যবহার করে পড়তে বা শিখতে পারছি ।

অবসর সময়ে নিজের জামা ,কাপড়ের ব্যগ চুলের বিভিন্ন ডিজাইনে বেন্ড মিলিয়ে সেলাই করা অত্যন্ত সখে কাজ । হাতে অথবা সেলাই মেসনে করে নিতে পছন্দ । ।আমার বাচ্ছারা। যখন ছোট ছিল তখন তাদের জামা সার্ট কত করেছি । ।শীতের সময় উলের সোয়াটার বুনে দিয়েছি । নিজের সেশাই করা বেলাউজ ,ব্যগ কোট শাড়ির সাথে মিলিয়ে পরে বিদ্যালয়ে যেতাম ,তখন
বন্ধুরা এমন কি শিক্ষার্থী বলত আমার দেশের প্রধান মন্ত্রীর মত দেখাছে। ।
সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমে ও আমার এক ইউটিউব চেনেল রয়েছে। ওখানে নানা রকমের মুখরোচক নানাধরনের খাবার রয়েছে । অনেকে পছন্দ ও করছে । ইউটিউবে আরো বেশী সময় দেওয়ার চিন্তা ভাবনা করছি ।
প্রবাসের মাঠিতে কয়েক যুগ অতিাহিত হলো অনেক অনেক দুখ-সুখের মধ্যে।
নিজেকে অত্যন্ত ভাগ্যমান মনে হয় ।এভাবে ধরনীর বাকিটা জীবন চলমান অম্লান
