The day has arrived! Meet the musicians who became famous after death part 2

in GEMS3 years ago

I hope you are well! this time I come to bring you a small dose of music, the day has come to bring you the second part of this great post where we can see how impressive it was that some musicians were able to become famous after his death and that as brands like Volkswagen can make a person so famous after death that you can not believe it if you liked that you will see how amazing this second part, something amazing that you can only see here

Otis Redding (1941-67).

He was a singer and songwriter in training whose career was cut short by a plane crash when he was only 26 years old, Otis had been doing quite well but his song that made him famous was The dock of the bay, unfortunately Otis himself never knew it because just a few days after recording the song was lost in that horrible accident, it was the first postumous work to reach number 1 on the US Billboard chart. Otis is remembered not only for his songs, his singing, his unique blend of folk and blues and a dimension of musical style.

Israel Kamakawiwo"ole (1959-97).

Israel was fascinated by the traditional music of his native hawaii and in his lifetime was not known beyond that state, however, he managed to reinvent a classic song quite rarely for a singer, his version of Over The Rainbow mixed with amazing world of became the most bought version of the song, however it was until the late 90's until the early 2000's after his death when he became known after being used in commercials and in a lot of movies as well known as adam sandler's and for me that i am from Venezuela i have known it, you can see how far his song has come, it is a legend for me, part of my childhood, even so Israel in life had a charismatic and cheerful character said that death was only the passage to another form, that's why he holds a friend that even at his funeral he was laughing.

Jeff Buckley (1966-97).

Jeff only met his father once but seems to have inherited Tim's eclectic style his first album contains elements of Folk Rock and Funk his moment was overlooked now it is considered a masterpiece his greatest song Hallelujah featuring in dozens of movies and plays around the world, but before all this popularity he drowned in the very cusp of fame like his father which led to his death.

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750).

It may seem incredible that Sebastian the Baroque master now considered one of the most brilliant composers of western music of all time had few celebrated compositions during his lifetime but it is true that for the most part he earned his living as an organist and composer of music as well as sometimes getting into trouble with church officials for improvising new pieces when he played, Bach wrote music not only for himself but also for his pupils and even for members of the nobility, yet many of his greatest works were never performed during his lifetime, yet Bach himself must have known that the compositions had value because he kept them carefully.

I still say that it's amazing how movies, plays and well-known brands use music from lesser known artists and become so famous! But even more incredible is how music from another era like the baroque is still heard and is still being played by the greatest of today! if you liked this kind of post let me know in the comment box to bring you more like this greetings
