Imagine finding people who you can consider you friends and family unexpectedly.
When you're less expecting it to happen, there are reasons why you find people who will make you feel better, special, and be the best version of yourself. People who will for you, people who will always be there to see the goodness despite the things that you have to undergo in the past.
At which with them, there will never be no filtering of words, hence we are able to be comfortable. And when words are hard to comprehend, we understand each other's feelings through gestures and voices.
Indeed, I've found people I can share with my quirkiness, and jokes. People I could not exchange, and not to please. People who understand my stupidity at times and love for who I am. People who fixed me, and goes beyond what is seen, and known. People who told me that the brokenness I felt inside will be worth it every tears and struggles.
Tonight, under the moonlight, the few months I've spent with them felt like years.
We now share our differences and learn to embrace them, people who made my 21st year of existing quite bearable, and exciting. A fun way that I was able to unleash my liveable and sometimes annoying side.
In this year, my friends turned 22 and we are able to celebrate each other's birthday. Waited till evening to greet each other, and to take snapshots in our dormitory's rooftop for changing our display photos, or banners for our birthdays.
The laughters we've shared are incomparable, they are extraordinary. Never did I even imagine myself, laughing hard again and not minding if I'll end up with people who will leave me behind again.
As to I promise myself to treat them like gems, because they are rare. They are my treasures, I am not ready to exchange with any wealth in the world.
I met these wonderful ladies the moment I stepped out my comfort zone. The time I was able to speak up, and made decisions on my own.
It happened so fast, they are the type of people I don't need to please. Because in loyalty, there's friendship.
At times, we will think that people will leave us behind because they cannot turn us to someone who we are not.
As someone, we are not liable to please and beg people in order to stay. Let people go when the relationship is to toxic. Embrace people more when they are genuine.
Remember that having friends is not counting stars. It's best when you keep yourself around a person or atleast a group of people when you are being the best version of yourself.
If you finds friends who are gems, don't ever let them go, or don't ever misunderstandings ruin your relationship.
