Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well, today I decided to go for a walk to get more motivation and ideas, I went to Castillo Pittamiglio | castle of the alchemist UNIVERSO PITTAMGILIO, which is located in Montevideo, Uruguay, more precisely Francisco Vidal Street, between September 21 and Rambla de Montevideo, at the Trouville point of the Punta Carretas neighborhood, well I tell you that the entrance is free except in two of its rooms that leave the mirror room it costs 3 dollars and the other one costs 4 dollars
When we go up the stairs of this castle we come across a projection at the end of the staircase and an exhibition of paintings and some sculptures, this room is free, behind it there is a room that is dedicated to politics, it has projections, some old posters and such, also the ceiling of the room draws attention
This is one of the symbols that were on the ceiling as soon as you entered the room, it is an alchemist symbol, well the architect of this castle is Humberto Pittamiglio, it was inaugurated in 1966, the main tower is 27 meters high, the exhibition of paintings that they would see was really attractive to see and appreciate
This is the first of the works that are seen when entering
this is the second
is the third
This is the last photo of the paintings that I took, there were others but these were my favorites
this is the sculpture called "Vivi" referring to a lady, at the end of the great exhibition there is a place with original things from the castle, a jukebox, a shiny black piano, an elegant green velvet armchair, there is also a gift shop which has a variety of things such as fragrances, castle souvenirs, food, decorations for the living room and a great variety, also right there they charge you the entrance to enter the VIP room of the mirrors and the other room, later passing What I just mentioned is a quite elegant restaurant that with the castle structure really looks like a movie, there is also a place inside the castle to have non-alcoholic drinks, the restaurant also has original chandeliers from the castle!
The castle also has a patio and a staircase to level two of the castle, these are photos going up the staircase, which is the last level enabled for the public since the other levels are not enabled
Arriving at the end of the staircase, the first thing that we can appreciate in addition to the castle structure is this structure with vines, at the end there is a room and a small box to see works that are done in the courtyard, the room at the back cannot be accessed but on the opposite side there is a final room that we can access that has a view towards the promenade
This is the last room enabled that I name you, it is the facade of the castle, the roof is open and has plants in large pots, also the view towards the promenade (it is the beach of Montevideo, it is a place where people usually go for a walk and exercise) for sale in the form of squares, well this was today's full post, hope you like it, see you in the next post!
