GIVE CONTENT CREATORS THE OPPORTUNITY TO OUTSOURCE THEIR AUDIENCE

One of my biggest challenges as a content creator on the hive/steem blockchain has been the limitations of working in a closed system. The monetary rewards have been compensated for the lack of engagement which has mitigated the growth of a lot of content creators here. Yes, a few of us pride ourselves to be local champions and often people pander to the accounts with a lot stake and communities that offer content creators the opportunity to earn.

Economically speaking closed economics are usually hard to maintain and grow especially when there are leakages in terms of resources being redirected to other economics/sphere. A lot of people complain about how inflation is been distributed but i do not consider that as a fundamental problem. Like i would say, the best way to improve your financial capacity is to increase your capacity--improve on what you do and generating multiple means of income rather than saving every penny. So rather than curb inflation, devices more active to bring in money into the system.

One of my major arguments against the close system upon which this blockchain operate is that it mitigates the growth of a content creator's audience. The reality is there a lot of people who do not understand crypto enough to want to invest their time in it. I have onboarded a lot of people who ended up leaving weeks later because they are not interested in the things discussed here. People's interest and given the nature and scope of this blockchain we should be able to capture them.

OUTSOURCING YOUR AUDIENCE

Most people will argue that most centralised platforms operate on a closed system. You cannot post your tweets on Facebook directly, however you can sign up for a Facebook account is as easy as signing up for twitter account with an email address. It's easier because google (i am guessing a lot of people use Gmail) has most of your detail you the stress of filling signup forms.

I have a sizable number of followers on twitter (which means little to me). It is something i can leverage on as a content creator. In fact, before my involvement with hive i used to blog on WordPress which allowed me to interact with my audience who didn't even have a WordPress account. A feature like this will be good for content creators who already have a sizable audience.

People want to be part of the conversation.

Why is twitter one of the most successful social platforms out there? Easy of engagement. You can engage with anyone at anything (although that is changing now). You do not seek permission, no party in the said exchange is in control of the conversation. So the idea of posting links on twitter so people (who you do ot follow) can read is kind of funny in a way because people hardly leave their ecosystem and would only do so for better engagement and a bigger audience. Secondly, not been able to interact with the content is an issue because like i stated earlier people want their voice to be heard. The only chance your audience have at engaging with you is by creating a hive account which comes with a lot of responsibility.

I had an idea some time ago about creating social hive account that can only create content and comment. There could be an upgradable process that enables a social account holder get full features of a hive standard account. As a hive content creator, this means people can subscribe to my page. There is a lot that can be built around this concept that will improve the attention economy of hive.

Blogging on hive will never reach its full potential if we do nothing about the social experience on hive. I have an inkling that this responsibility will be shifted to the various communities and interfaces. I have been spending a lot more time on Leo finance recently because of the intuitive interface and theme/concept behind the community.

In a nutshell, the better the social experience the better the chances of people bringing in their family, friends, and people they care about to blockchain. It is 2020, no one wants to engage with people they don't care about or people without clout. These are just hard facts and if we indeed one to grow then we need to acknowledge these things and make changes

Thank Eli...would do that

why don't you create a mini show on Twitter, and talk or interview people from Hive? this would help bring more visibility to good writers such as yourself.
It's a pity that not many are aware of your writing. it's very good!

i have considered it in the past and i am working towards it. Something is cooking in the background
