So I started working for this freelancing syndicate about a day ago. Well, I am on probation. My job entails writing and rewriting different content. I jumped on the idea because I needed some extra cash. Plus, I have been writing for 3years, always on the hive, so how hard could that be.
I spent 4 hours writing a 400 words article.
My first day of work wasn't so great. It wasn't delightful. For my first task, I wrote a post about a celebrity with an Instagram post as the primary information source. The other four links were unrelated to the subject matter. So I had the immense task of all incorporating all the data into one article.
It took me roughly 9 hours to complete my task for the day, which is ironic because I do less work on the hive and earn more. At some point, I began to question myself: imagine if I put this amount of person-hours on hive? I might make more (maybe not).
Asides from so much wiring, I had some scrutinize my work, which I hated. I have never liked the idea of someone editing my work. Maybe proofread but never edit a post to the point I don't even recognize my work.
The second day (being today) was better. I spent less time on my tasks. I am hoping by next week, my writing speed increases.
POSITIVES
So I get access to a premium Grammarly account, which means better-written posts on hive. Secondly, I can explore a new side of content writing that is unfamiliar to me. So I can say this is a form of improvement.
So that's the update on my new working situation. And I want to add this is a good thing for my crypto earning because I would be investing more rather than spending all I earn. It has been my goal to reduce my dependence on my crypto earning, and I can see I am in the right direction.
