THE gOD OF CRYPTO SMILED AT ME...

I have been in this space for the past two years and i have worked tirelessly for every penny i have earned and i am grateful for everything i have to earn here from the friendships and of course the money. Speaking about money, yesterday i saw news about uniswap on my timeline. The unitoken was the biggest gainer in the crypto market with over 100% gain. That didn't make much difference to me because i didn't own any, well so i thought.

@adetorrent spoke about the free uniswap tokens on twitter i never knew about. I was curious enough to give it a look and unfortunately, there wasn't any to claim--on my trust wallet. Then i remembered i had an eth wallet i used way back during the whole steemhunt era. I was introduced to uniswap by a fellow hivian as an alternative to polinex for the trading of my hunt token and i can remember using it once or so.

The second huddle was remembering my eth wallet private key. I have had no need for it in the longestntime. I even thought i had lost it as a couple of months back $1up was making massive gains and i wanted to swap some only to discover i had lost my private key. Fortunate for me i had linked my eth address to metamask. I have a history of misplacing my keys but fortunately, i had my some password backed up on OnePass password manager.

Fast forward to yesterday i had $2000 worth of uni token in my ether wallet. Just like that. I don't think i have made that much on hive/steem for the two years of work i have put on here but i got that for free--for free!

It was a huddle exchanging my uni tokens. I have @mistakili and @adetorrent for providing me with the hive i converted to ether to cover my gas fee. It was a frustrating experience. I still wonder why anyone uses eth. It is very problematic and slow. I spent the whole night waiting for my tokens to be transferred. At some point, i gave up and slept only to wake up this morning $2000 richer.

Well, most of the money will go to the property my father left me--well half of it has already used. This is my long term investment and most important. I bought 1000 hive yesterday of which i staked to celebrate my good fortunes. Finally, i can get past the 2k hivepower mark (and i dint have to work for it--who would have thought?) and i have uniswap to thank for that.

So hopefully i can reach 3k next month as i don't have much need for my hive tokens. I can sit back and watch my account grow. Might buy some Leo tokens and reinvest in splinterlands. This is the beauty of cryptocurrency--making money out of nothing. When i told my mum and girlfriend they were in disbelieve until i credited their accounts.

I feel very fortunate. This came at the right time. The uni token the last time i checked is around $5. I sold all by the way and i have no regrets. i have little information about uniswap to hold their token but i am grateful for the free token. This will impact my life positively--it won't solve all my problems but i like to think this is an opportunity. Let's see if i can double this money in the coming months. Cheers!
