And just like that, perhaps the end of an era.
It's hard to put my finger on exactly what made tick tock so much fun. The user experience was certainly better on TikTok than on Shorts or Reels. Part of it was the control over the video as far as having a slider to scrub through the content. The minimalistic advertising was key to a pleasant user experience. Of course everybody mentions how accurate and enjoyable the algorithm was in giving relevant selections to view. Having such an abundance of content creators all diligently churning out content made it possible for the algorithm to sort and find content that would match with any type of viewers’ desires. Of course having a large collection of music to choose from that goes perfectly with the video was in my estimation foundational. There were just so many TikTok trends that the music made the series iconic. If you know, you know.
So what will be the future of Tiktok? Is it just another app that has fallen by the wayside like so many before it? Will Trump sign an extension to facilitate a sale to an American company? Is TikTok even interested in being sold for any amount? Personally I would like to think that it will eventually be sold and will continue on into the future, but one never knows. What do you think?

I've seen some TikToks here and there that other people posted, but have never downloaded the app, so it won't change anything for me.... Yay! .... for once.
One more shot, going out the door, to leave as many challenges as possible for the new administration.
I guess it may matter to TikTok how much other business they have and what part of their market America has been. If they can do nicely without us, it may not bother the owners at all. Then.... it may matter what the offer is to sell. Many companies sell themselves once established well and a great offer comes along.
We'll see..... won't we?
I felt bad for the many Americans that make an income from TikTok. People had invest untold hours into making up their content.
I can understand that. Hopefully, most have dual accounts on other platforms that are also making money. I know that doesn't make up for the losses, but hopefully the TikTok isn't their only income.... hopefully.
