Life is funny sometimes...
I took these steamroller photos back in 2022 when I lived in the lake house in Michigan. Interestingly if you look close, one can notice there is a lady driving this beast! I think big machines are cool and make for interesting pictures, but I never had any clue what type of post I might find these shots to be a perfect complement for. Lo and behold, now a measure of time down the road and here we are; writing a post that fits these pictures perfectly.
Although World War Two was a bit before my time, I remember studying about the blitzkrieg or in English, lightning war. The German theory was to hit the enemy hard and fast. Of course elderly folk like myself remember the American version of this during the Iraq War was coined as "shock and awe".
Dan Bongeno calls it the Rock and Sock Em Robots strategy, Steve Bannon calls it flood the zone, but to me Trump's first two weeks is best described as shock and awe. Keep it up Mr President.
Love him or hate him, it doesnt much matter to me. I am not going to try to convince anyone that Donald Trump is salvaging our nation from ruin. Personally I am glad we have a President that is willing to get in front of a camera, take questions from the press, and let the people know what he is thinking.
However, I feel this is one thing we can all agree on: Trump is a steamroller and as such is fundamentally changing the course of this nation.
