Good morning everyone, I will be sharing with you my latest design, A three quarter sleeve kaftan using emerald green IRISH material mixed with a flowery shirt material.
The flowery material was added to the pleated pocket, the tapping and the sleeve, not showing more than a quarter inch.
Let me take you through the process of how I got this beautiful cloth done.
MATERIALS USED
- Fabric (irish and shirt material)
- hair stay
- paper stay
- thread
SEWING PROCESS
After cutting the fabric, making use of the measurements taken, I always start by folding and sewing the allowances added to the length.
Then I joined the shoulders and tape the neck using the material itself for tapping and adding the flowery material.
After tapping the neck then I ironed it before I proceeded to fixing of the collar and creating the pleated pocket.
Then I fixed the sleeve and close the body
