How to perform CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) / Workshop to the community

How are HIVE friends

On this occasion I want to share with you some information and experience made recently.

I had the opportunity to give a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation workshop to the community where I live, it was quite rewarding with a lot of learning since being in front of the inhabitants of the city allowed me to explain how this maneuver is performed, as well as being able to hear first-hand their life experiences and concerns.

First of all I want to address the issue of C.P.R., these are procedures that are performed on a person when he has suffered a cardiac and / or respiratory arrest so you should start performing chest compressions and then insufflations.

According to the American Heart Association (A.H.A.) states that at the time of performing the R.C.P. 30 compressions and 2 insufflations must be performed during 5 cycles; it should be taken into account that the assessment of vital signs taking into account that for an average adult person breathing is 16 to 20 breaths per minute (B.P.M.) and pulsations are 60 to 100 beats per minute (B.P.M.).

Hands should be placed on the chest at the central level with the arms extended and make pressure with the base of the palm or heel of the hand, achieving that they are about 5 cm of pressure in the chest, this is done with rapid and repetitive movements until leading to 30 then extends the jaw upwards opens the mouth and gives two insufflations, these should fill the lungs with air, so that we can observe how the chest expands.

It is always important to notify by calling 911 and indicate what we have seen, what we have done and what we are observing at that time.

This technique has saved many lives around the world and it is always pleasant to have the opportunity to share this knowledge with people, even children, since many times unexpected events happen in remote places and we must help, but how do we help if we do not know? Well, if you have any questions do not forget to consult with trained personnel.

Emergencies are sudden events and we are never prepared for what happens but we can prepare ourselves to know how to act and react to a situation that puts our lives or those around us at risk.

This has been an experience that makes me proud as a professional and I'm glad to know that people prepare.

Don't forget to comment and share this useful information

Thanks a lot
