Ayer simplemente desperté y pensé: “Hoy es un buen día para salir a caminar a la montaña”.

This usually happens to me very often, and since the confinement began given the current pandemic situation that we are going through, I usually wake up even more often with the desire to leave my house and get away from the routine. Yesterday I just woke up and thought: "Today is a good day to go hiking in the mountains."
Saben que soy fanático de ir a caminar a la montaña, y cuando pasa tanto tiempo sin que pueda visitar este lugar, llega un momento donde simplemente debo volver aunque sea a caminar un poco, normalmente suelo ir en compañía de algún amigo, sin embargo, ante lo improvisado de la situación, esta vez decidí ir solo, y honestamente también me hacía falta, para poder desconectarme y estar solo con mis pensamientos.
You know that I am a fan of going for a walk in the mountains, and when so much time passes without being able to visit this place, there comes a time where I just have to go back even if it is to walk a little, I usually go in the company of a friend, however, given the improvisation of the situation, this time I decided to go alone, and honestly, I also needed it, to be able to disconnect and be alone with my own thoughts.
A penas el año pasado fue que pude conocer esta ruta que si bien queda muy cerca de mi casa, nunca me había atrevido a seguir, no es la más emocionante debido a que es un camino pavimentado aunque, rodeado de mucha vegetación, sin embargo, el atravesar este camino me llena de mucha paz y mucha calma, lo cual resultó perfecto para reencontrarme conmigo mismo, ya que estas últimas semanas la verdad habían sido un poco abrumadoras debido a algunos asuntos personales y la situación en mi universidad.
It was just last year that I got to know this route that, although it is very close to my house, I had never dared to follow, it is not the most exciting because it is a paved road although, surrounded by a lot of vegetation, however, crossing this path fills me with a lot of peace and calm, which was perfect to reconnect with myself, since these last weeks had been a bit overwhelming due to some personal issues and the situation at my university.
Uno de los puntos a favor de esta ruta es que cuenta con numerosos puntos abiertos donde se puede contemplar la ciudad y un poco más allá, de verdad resulta interesante detenerse un poco a contemplar el paisaje que ya desde puntos no tan elevados empieza a verse muy imponente pues deja ver gran parte de la ciudad.

En esta ocasión al igual que las últimas veces que he subido llegué a un pequeño mirador ubicado a 1200 metros de altura, no es mucho, pero dado el periodo de inactividad que he atravesado incluso me costó un poco más de lo normal, creo que esto no es más que la motivación perfecta para retomar más a menudo estos pequeños paseos que sirven para distraer la mente, pero también para mantener el cuerpo activo, que la verdad no viene mal dada la rutina casera que he llevado los últimos meses.
On this occasion, like the last times I have climbed, I reached a small viewpoint located at 1200 meters high, it is not much, but given the period of inactivity that I have gone through it even cost me a little more than normal, I think this it is nothing more than the perfect motivation to take up these little walks more often that serve to distract the mind, but also to keep the body active, the truth is that not bad given the home routine that I have followed in recent months.

Una vez en este punto fue cuando me tome un mayor momento para pensar, pensaba en todos los problemas que había vivido los últimos meses mientras al mismo tiempo me sentía bendecido por haberlos superado, de igual manera pensaba en la situación de pandemia actual, lo increíble que resulta aceptar que ya ha pasado más de un año desde que todo empezó y aún seguimos con este problema, del mismo modo me sentía muy agradecido de aún seguir aquí a diferencia de muchas personas que lamentablemente nos han dejado dada la situación, muchos pensamientos en mi mente, de verdad que el Ávila siempre ha sido un gran escape para cuando he necesitado despejar la mente.
Once at this point it was when I took a greater moment to think, I thought about all the problems that I had experienced in recent months while at the same time I felt blessed to have overcome them, in the same way I thought about the current pandemic situation, how incredible It turns out to accept that more than a year has passed since everything started and we still continue with this problem, in the same way I felt very grateful to still here unlike many people who unfortunately have left us given the situation, many thoughts in my mind, it is true that Ávila has always been a great escape for when I have needed to clear my mind.
Nunca debemos dejar que pase mucho tiempo sin que tomemos algún momento solo para nosotros apartados de las demás personas y todo lo que pueda abrumarnos, honestamente resulta una bonita experiencia pues a veces olvidamos lo necesario que resulta para recargar energías, sin mencionar que si podemos combinar estos momentos con alguna actividad física como puede ser simplemente caminar por la montaña será mucho mejor para nosotros, de verdad espero esta vez no pase mucho tiempo antes de que pueda volver a estos lados.
