Greetings to all, today I am going to talk to you about the Apostle John, the beloved of Jesus, beloved, he used to say that out of love. Of the four gospels that we have in the Bible, John's is the one that places the most emphasis on the divine and eternal origin of Jesus Christ. He begins by affirming that before everything began there was already the one who is the word (1,1), and adds that the one who is the word dwelt among us 1.14. With simple language, but with a lot of meaning, the author immediately goes on to identify the one who is the word with Jesus the son of God and the king of Israel (1.43--49). From this confession of faith, the author He dedicates the following chapters to demonstrating the power of Jesus to perform miracles: He turns water into wine (2.1-11), heals the son of a Roman officer (4. 43-54), makes a paralytic walk (5.1-18) , feeds more than five thousand people (6.1-14), walks on water (6.16-20), makes a blind man see (9.1-14). In the next five chapters but as friends (15.15), and therefore he speaks to them clearly (16.25-30) and asks God the father to care for them and keep them together, as God and Jesus are united (17.1-26 ). One of the characteristics of this gospel is the identification that Jesus makes of himself. He is the bread that gives life (6.35), the light that illuminates all who live in this world, (8.12). the good shepherd (10. 11), the one who gives life and the one who brings the dead back to life (14. 6) and the true vine (15.1). John's gospel contains this and other great truths about Jesus Christ, which can be summed up in his own words: God so loved the people of this world that he gave me, my only son, so that everyone who believes in me do not die, but have eternal life (3.16). This was what led the speaker of this gospel to leave us this great truth in writing, so that we believe that Jesus is the Messiah. the son of God and thus we live eternal life><(20.31) Amen><written by orlando torrez:
