Quality over quantity. I lean towards one of the problems with the site here is so many forcing (some force 3-5 posts per day) posts out, churning them out almost in desperation. I've actually unfollowed many who do this (especially all of those actifit posts). There are a few I still follow, but they normally will at most get one vote out of me. I prefer giving out full votes which limits me to 10 a day, and rarely do I want one person getting several of those in a day (unless I wrote a post and their talking with me in the comments).
It is liberating to decide "I'm not posting today," I do that all the time. In fact, I have one post I finished collecting research on over a week ago and the links all sit in the folder waiting for me to feel like giving them cohesion and adding my speculations to them. Not sure when I may get to it. But when I do, I want my heart into it. To be a reflection of my passion on the subject.
It's normal during this time of loss for you to ponder things, ways you do things and how they may add or detract from what is meaningful to you. It's shocking when life hits us hard and we pause and look at the routines we have built up, wondering or deciding if they were adding quality to what we desire and love. I'm grateful that you are sharing your examination into your routine and how it can be tweaked to make your life attune better towards something healthier for yourself. These moments of sobriety and mind-fullness are sadly few for most of us and serves a good reminder to the rest of us lulled into our own routines.
Thanks for sharing, and keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you so much @practicalthought. If we had a contest for the most effective Commentors on the 'chain you would definitely be at the top. Your contributions via high quality Comments makes this place a better place to be :)
