We used to go up to Byron Bay all the time until it got super busy. I love the whales all up and down the East Coast of Australia and we even get them down here in the Southern States glad you got to see dolphins at least full stop it is always beautiful when I get to see them here.

Did you get there at morning ? I ever got there at morning to see the sunrise , it was so busy that no place to park , we park far away and then walk up .
We used to stay on the beach there, so we could go any time of day! Twenty years ago it was very, very quiet.
