I have come to talk to you about a topic that is very important and perhaps not all of us give it all the attention it should.
What is depression?
Depression is a mental disorder fundamentally characterized by a low mood and feelings of sadness, associated with changes in behavior, level of activity and thought.
Many of us say daily that we are depressed, and no, we are sad. Depression is represented in other symptoms, which I will show you below
✓Mood: loss of interest or pleasure in doing activities, emotional ups and downs, anxiety, apathy, guilt, general discontent, hopelessness, loss of interest or sadness
✓Behaviour: agitation, social withdrawal, irritability or excessive crying
✓Sleep: waking up early, insomnia, excessive sleepiness or restless sleep
✓Whole body: fatigue, excessive hunger or loss of appetite
✓Cognitive: slowness to perform activities or lack of concentration
✓Weight: weight gain or weight loss
✓Also common: repeated thought analysis, suicidal thoughts, or poor appetite
