Hello everyone!
I would like to share the blessings we have now!
I am so touched with the good deeds of our neighbor. We received one whole dressed chicken from our neighbor. It is indeed a blessings! Coz we don't have dish anymore aside from canned goods and noodles.
My brother asked me of what I am going to do with the chicken.
Because we don't have spices, I decided to just fry the chicken. So, I clean the whole dressed chicken and cut it to my desired sizes. Then, I put it in a casserole and add some salt to boil. I didn't add water 'coz the chicken is watery. Water will just comes out when it is boiling.
Another problem is when no gas stove at all. Well, no worries! We have here fire woods to the rescue! It will help me cook the chicken for our dish. I used some woods that my brother have. I also use a piece of cartoon and lighter to make a fire for my cooking.
Because of fire woods, I remember my younger days when we are living in a small nipa house and is using fire woods for our cooking. Even now at home, we still use fire woods when we run out of gas. It is a good thing having fire woods at home. 'Coz we can still cook our food without using gas.
When I am frying the chicken, I do not fry it directly. I boil the chicken first to make sure it is not bloody anymore and cooked good when serve. When boiling is done, I transferred the boiled chicken in a dry clean food container. Add some breading mix for chicken coating.
It is now time to fry our chicken. Again, we are frying using fire woods. In a pan, we need to heat the cooking oil first. Then, put some pieces of chicken to fry. Fry it until it becomes golden brown and cooked. And until all pieces of chicken are all done.
And here's the finish product. The fried chicken that was cooked using fire woods. The fried chicken for our dish in a day or until the next day. We paired it with rice and banana catsup.
That's the blessings we have received.
Happy eating for a happy tummy!
