Y con esto llega la primera review sobre uno de los animes favoritos de los últimos años, Boku no Hero academia. La historia de cómo el pequeño y frágil Izuku Midoriya se convirtió en el saiko no hero (El héroe más fuerte) a partir de sus experiencias como estudiante de la U.A. Así como en la última review, hablaré en específico de la primera temporada ya que le dedicaré una crítica exclusiva a cada temporada por separado.

Boku no Hero academia (también conocido como “my Hero academia”) es un anime lanzado en abril de 2016 y finalizado en junio de 2016 por el estudio Bones para la cadena televisiva JNN. Este se encuentra basado en el manga aún en emisión de la Shonen Jump por el mangaka Kōhei Horikoshi. La premisa es una historia de acción y aventuras protagonizada por Izuku Midoriya, un adolescente de Japón que sueña con ser un superhéroe a pesar de no nacer con un súper poder. A pesar de la falta de capacidades de nacimiento, su determinación y esfuerzo (y algo de ayuda de su ídolo, All Might) logran embarcarlo en una aventura dentro de la U.A, la más prestigiosa academia de superhéroes. La historia toca temas como la superación personal, el seguir tus sueños y el verdadero significado de ser un héroe.
A partir de esto, me gustaría fragmentar mi opinión en 4 aspectos principales:
- Resumen de la trama, el cual realizaré con la menor cantidad de spoilers posibles para no arruinar la experiencia.
- Puntos fuertes donde hablare puntualmente con spoilers de cada aspecto donde destaca la serie o anime en cuestión.
- Puntos débiles donde se encuentran los errores.
- Conclusiones finales donde definiré el que tanto me gustó la serie, la relevancia que tiene y a que personas les gustaría o no verla.
Resumen de la trama
La historia comienza en Japón luego de varias décadas de la aparición repentina de humanos que desarrollaron súper poderes. A partir de esto, la sociedad se adaptó a vivir con estas nuevas habilidades, las cuales se hacían presentes en la mayoría de la población y permitiendo el nacimiento de los super héroes como un trabajo real y a su vez la existencias de villanos. En base a esto conocemos a Izuku Midoriya, un adolescente que creció con el sueño de ser un superhéroe tan grande como All Might, el héroe más admirado del mundo. El problema llega cuando Izuku (también conocido como Deku) descubre que no tiene poderes y por tanto a pesar de todos sus sueños, el ser un héroe es una tarea prácticamente imposible, sumado a eso, empieza a ser acosado por el bravucón y amigo de la infancia, Bakugo Katsuki.
Todo cambia el día que luego de que un villano lo ataca y es salvado por su gran ídolo All Might, el cual luego de salvarlo le dice que para alguien sin poderes el ser un héroe es muy peligroso. A pesar de eso, Deku logra demostrarle que tiene todo el potencial de ser un gran héroe y se gana el respeto de All Might, haciendo que este le confiese sus secretos, le entrene y le transfiera sus poderes para que se vuelva su sucesor.
A partir de aquí, empieza la travesía de Izuku por controlar sus nuevos poderes y crecer como persona dentro de la gran academia U.A para convertirse en el héroe que siempre soñó ser. A esto se le suma una gran cantidad de amigos y compañeros que le ayudaran en todo ese camino.
Puntos fuertes:
La empatía con Izuku: Esta puede ser un punto muy personal en cada quién pero identificarse con Deku es muy sencillo, todos hemos tenido un sueño o meta que a ojos de todos era imposible pero que a pesar de todo, seguimos hasta alcanzarlo de alguna manera. Toda la trama del pasado de Izuku, los flashbacks con su madre y esas palabras de motivación de All Might pueden hacer llorar a cualquiera. En lo personal, me fascina.
Para ver la imagen original, haz click aquí Humor absurdo: el apartado cómico es realmente entretenido para muchas masas, recurriendo a desfigurar los rostros de los personajes en situaciones de comedia, expresiones y acciones exageradas y mucha ironía. Dependiendo de tu tipo de humor, puede ser más o menos agradable pero la presencia de mineta y los chistes de All Might alivian muchísimo la tensión y hacen la experiencia más ligera.
Personajes secundarios interesantes: La gran mayoría de personajes secundarios enriquecen el universo de la historia con interesantes subtramas y motivaciones, e ir descubriendo poco a poco el desarrollo de los mismos permiten sentir realmente al grupo como un equipo. Este apartado obviamente se amplía mucho más con las temporadas consiguientes pero aquí recibimos las primeras interacciones con cada uno y dejan un muy buen sabor de boca.

Puntos débiles
Animación de batalla: Este puede ser algo polémico pero en términos personales, la animación en las escenas de acción tienen unos pequeños fallos. Primeramente, cuando un personaje usaba alguno de sus poderes y hacia una exhibición interesante, el brillo de la escena se reduce y provoca una pérdida de atención que hace menos disfrutables las peleas. En conjunto a esto, las batallas en si poseían pocos cuadros y no se sienten tan fluidas. Esto se nota más en la batalla final de All Might contra Nomu. Esto tiene una leve justificación a partir de que al ser una temporada debut, el presupuesto era muchísimo menor que en temporadas posteriores, por tanto este problema se ve corregido actualmente.
Para ver la imagen original, Haz click aquí El llanto de Izuku: En lo personal, no es algo que me disguste en sí pero objetivamente para algunas personas a pesar de que Deku es un protagonista bueno, tiende a llorar mucho durante la historia y para algunos espectadores es desesperante.
Conclusiones y recomendaciones
En definitiva, Boku no Hero academia es un anime perfecto para ver durante un día libre. Posee una buena dosis de acción para mantener enganchado a la pantalla y una carga emocional precisa para empatizar y conectarse con el protagonista. No es un anime perfecto, no es profundo y tampoco una joya perdida pero es lo que un fan de los superhéroes necesita ver sí o sí.
Si al terminar aun tienes ganas de más, cuentas con 3 temporadas, 2 películas, varias ovas y muchísimos volúmenes del manga que podrían gustarte. A opinión personal, cada temporada mejora progresivamente por tanto muy pronto llega la review de la temporada siguiente.

And with this comes the first review of one of the favorite anime of recent years, Boku no Hero academia. The story of how the small and fragile Izuku Midoriya became the saiko no hero (The strongest hero) from his experiences as a student at the U.A. As well as in the last review, I will talk specifically about the first season since I will dedicate an exclusive review to each season separately.

Boku no Hero academia (also known as “my Hero academia”) is an anime released in April 2016 and completed in June 2016 by the Bones studio for the JNN television network. This is based on the manga still broadcast of the Shonen Jump by the mangaka Kōhei Horikoshi. The premise is an action-adventure story starring Izuku Midoriya, a teenager from Japan who dreams of being a superhero despite not being born with super power. Despite the lack of birth abilities, his determination and effort (and some help from his idol, All Might) manage to embark him on an adventure inside the U.A, the most prestigious superhero academy. The story touches on topics such as self-improvement, following your dreams and the true meaning of being a hero.
From this, I would like to fragment my opinion into 4 main aspects:
Summary of the plot, which I will do with the least amount of spoilers possible so as not to ruin the experience.
Strong points where I will speak promptly with spoilers of each aspect where the series or anime in question stands out
Weak points where errors are found
Final conclusions where I will define the one I liked the series so much, the relevance that it has and which people would like or not see it.
Plot summary
The story in Japan after several decades after the sudden appearance of humans who developed superpowers. From this, society adapted to live with these new skills, which were present in the majority of the population and allowed the birth of superheroes as a real job and in turn the existence of villains. Based on this we know Izuku Midoriya, a teenager who grew up with the dream of being a superhero as big as All Might, the most admired hero in the world. The problem comes when Izuku (also known as Deku) discovers that he has no powers and therefore despite all his dreams, being a hero is a practically impossible task, added to that he begins to be harassed by the bully and friend of the childhood, Bakugo Katsuki.
Everything changes the day that after the attack of a villain attacks him and is saved by his great idol All Might, who after saving him tells him that for someone without powers being a hero is very dangerous. Despite this, Deku manages to show him that he has the full potential to be a great hero and earns the respect of All Might, causing him to confess his secrets, train him and transfer his powers to become his successor.
From here begins the journey of Izuku to control his new powers and grow as a person within the great U.A academy to become the hero he always dreamed of being. To this is added a large number of friends and colleagues who will help you along that path.
Strong points
- Empathy with Izuku: This can be a very personal point in each one, but identifying with Deku is very simple, we have all had a dream or goal that in everyone's eyes was impossible but that despite everything, we continue until we reach it in some way. . The whole plot of Izuku's past, the flashbacks with her mother, and those motivational words from All Might can make anyone cry. Personally, it fascinates me.

Absurd humor: the comic section is really entertaining for many masses, resorting to disfigure the faces of the characters in situations of comedy, expressions and exaggerated actions and a lot of irony. Depending on your mood type, it may be more or less enjoyable but the presence of Mineta and All Might jokes greatly alleviate the tension and make the experience lighter.
Interesting secondary characters: The vast majority of secondary characters enrich the universe of the story with interesting subplots and motivations, and gradually discovering their development allow them to truly feel the group as a team. This section obviously expands much more with the subsequent seasons but here we receive the first interactions with each one and leaving a very good taste in the mouth.

Weak points
- Battle animation: This may be somewhat controversial but in personal terms, the animation in the action scenes has a few flaws. First of all, when a character used any of his powers and towards an interesting display, the brightness of the scene is reduced and causes a loss of attention that makes fighting less enjoyable. In conjunction with this, the battles themselves had few frames and did not feel as smooth. This is most noticeable in All Might's final battle against Nomu. This has a slight justification since, being a debut season, the budget was much less than in subsequent seasons, therefore this problem is currently corrected.

- Izuku's crying: Personally, it is not something that I dislike in itself but objectively for some people despite the fact that Deku is a good protagonist, he tends to cry a lot during the story and for some viewers it is desperate.
Conclusions and recommendations
In short, Boku no Hero academia is a perfect anime to watch during a day off. It has a good dose of action to keep the screen hooked and a precise emotional charge to empathize and connect with the protagonist. It is not a perfect anime, it is not deep and it is not a lost jewel but it is what a fan of superheroes needs to see yes or yes.
If at the end you still want more, you have 3 seasons, 2 movies, several ova and many volumes of the manga that you might like. In personal opinion, each season improves progressively, so very soon the review of the following season arrives.
