Review Psycho pass (ESP) / Un dilema de justicia

Esta frase es perfecta para entender lo que viene a continuación si le damos una oportunidad a psycho pass. Bienvenidos a SpiderCritic y esta es la primera review de uno de los animes que en lo persona ha logrado implantar una nueva perspectiva en mi ser, Psycho pass. En específico voy a hablar de primera temporada ya que para las siguientes también me gustaría hacer un análisis más exhaustivo sobre los temas principales que toc.
¿Qué es Psycho Pass?
Psycho pass es un anime lanzado en octubre de 2012 y finalizado en marzo de 2013 por IG productions para Fuji TV. Este no está basado en un manga o novela, siendo de total autoría de la casa productora. A partir de aquí nace la premisa de Psycho pass, un drama policial distópico ambientado en una Japón neocyberpunk dentro de aproximadamente 100 años. Aquí encontramos al país dirigido por el **sistema sybil**, un sistema que se encarga de mantener un orden social a partir de analizar el estado mental y la personalidad de un individuo. Todo se narra desde la vista de nuestra protagonista **Akane Tsunemori** y su equipo de la división 1 de seguridad pública donde buscarán mantener el orden e impartir justicia a aquellos que presenten índices de criminalidad altos, los cuales son definidos por sybil con la idea de predecir la posibilidad de que una persona sea capaz de realizar algún crimen. La historia es una crítica directa a la moralidad de la justicia y a la sociedad, exponiendo el como la promesa de una utopía y un mundo perfecto puede verse difuso por el concepto de justicia.
A partir de esto, me gustaría fragmentar mi opinión en 4 aspectos principales:
Resumen de la trama, el cual realizare con la menor cantidad de spoilers posibles para no arruinar la experiencia.
Puntos fuertes donde hablare puntualmente con spoilers de cada aspecto donde destaca la serie o anime en cuestión
Puntos débiles donde se encuentran los errores.
Conclusiones finales donde definiré el que tanto me gusto la serie, la relevancia que tiene y a que personas les gustaría o no verla.
Resumen de la trama
Comenzamos la historia con Akane Tsunemori, la cual es una joven mujer que luego de tener la posibilidad de elegir al trabajo que ella desee por decisión de sybil, recae como inspectora en la oficina de seguridad pública, organismo encargado de mantener el orden en Japón y de atrapar o castigar a aquellos criminales latentes que poseen un alto índice de criminalidad para evitar que cometan o sigan cometiendo crímenes. Para esta tarea se dividen en inspectores y ejecutores, siendo los inspectores los líderes de cada grupo, y los ejecutores, criminales latentes seleccionados por la oficina de seguridad que se encargan de realizar el trabajo sucio para evitar que el psycho pass de los inspectores se vea afectado gravemente por el trabajo. A partir de aquí se logra apreciar la evolución de Akane al comprender la dureza y la cuestionable moralidad que posee el sistema sybil para calificar a las personas. Todo esto se ve influenciado por 2 personajes importantísimos, Shinya Kougami, un ejecutor de la división de Akane y un misterioso criminal con una habilidad que pone a la oficina de seguridad en el dilema de si sybil es tan efectivo como todos creen.
La historia se construye a partir del como Akane, Kougami y el resto del grupo lidian con cada caso, dándose cuenta del como muchos están interconectados con una figura que mueve los hilos en la sombra con un plan entre manos. En conjunto a esto, vemos la caída progresiva de Akane y Kougami al cuestionarse el concepto de justicia y el cómo se devela un gran secreto oculto de cualquier registro.
Puntos fuertes
- La construcción de Akane: Akane llega a la oficina como una inexperta y muy dócil chica que se ve envuelta en un ambiente deplorable y visceral, siendo ahora responsable no solo de dirigir una división de la oficina de seguridad publica sino de dar caza a la escoria de una falsa utopía. Akane tiene las capacidades y el potencial para el trabajo pero ella misma no cree en sus propias habilidades y gracias a las buenas intervenciones de Kougami o Masaoka logra una de las evoluciones más notables que he visto de un personaje femenino en la historia del anime.
El villano:
Hablar de Shougo Makishima es hablar de cómo se hace un verdadero antagonista en una historia. Cada escena donde está envuelto posee una carga de tensión que deja atónitos a todos los personajes en escena y a los espectadores. Su propiedad al hablar, su ingenio y su capacidad de mover la trama a su antojo realmente es admirable. Si algún día buscan una fórmula para crear al villano perfecto, analizar a Makishima es una buena opción.
La crítica social y moral:
Tal vez uno de los puntos más atrayentes, la crítica hacia los extremos que estamos dispuestos a afrontar con tal de vivir en paz, la ambigüedad que posee el concepto de justicia, la búsqueda de humanidad en un mundo plástico y la fragilidad que posee la sociedad hacen de este anime una historia digna de analizar y de interpretar, sobretodo viendo la dualidad de los protagonistas la perspectiva anarquista del villano.
La banda sonora y el ambiente:
la epicidad y carga emocional que proviene de la banda sonora de Psycho pass es envidiable. Desde los temas de entrada cargados de fuerza con “abnormalize” y “Out of control” a los sensitivos y nostálgicos temas de cierre, destacando sobretodo “Namae no nai kaibutsu”. Todo eso sumado a eso contrastes entre los tonos oscuros de la ciudad, dándole un aura misteriosa y sobretodo tensa por la sensación de que tanta perfección no puede ser verdad hace del apartado artístico algo de destacar.
Puntos débiles:
Historias incompletas:
El mayor error que noto en la historia es la falta de desarrollo de algunos personajes como el ejecutor Masaoka y el inspector Ginoza, los cuales gozaban de una excelente subtrama que valía la pena explorar.Desarrollos innecesarios:
A contraparte del punto anterior, el hecho de tener un capitulo completo para desarrollar a la ejecutora Kunizuka es totalmente innecesario ya que termina siendo irrelevante para la historia y se siente más como un capítulo de relleno.
Conclusiones y recomendaciones
En definitiva, psycho pass aprovecha toda esta esencia de drama policial para explotar una crítica perfecta a la moralidad y la sociedad en general. Una historia con protagonistas muy humanos con los cuales empatizar, uno de los villanos mejor hechos en la historia del anime y un excelente apartado artístico respaldan a Psycho pass como uno de los animes que debes ver al menos una vez en la vida.
Si luego terminas con ganas de más, no olvides que hay 2 temporadas posteriores que en lo personal disfrute mucho y un par de películas que entretienen y enriquecen un poco más el universo de esta historia.

Review Psycho pass (ENG) / A dilemma of justice

This phrase is perfect for understanding what comes next if we give psycho pass a try. Welcome to SpiderCritic and this is the first review of one of the anime that personally has managed to implant a new perspective in my being, Psycho pass. Specifically, I am going to talk about the first season since for the following ones I would also like to do a more exhaustive analysis on the main topics that it touches.
¿What is Psycho Pass?
Psycho pass is an anime released in October 2012 and completed in March 2013 by IG productions for Fuji TV. This is not based on a manga or novel, being the full responsibility of the production house. From here the premise of Psycho pass is born, a dystopian police drama set in a neocyberpunk Japan in approximately 100 years. Here we find the country led by the sybil system, a system that is responsible for maintaining a social order based on analyzing the mental state and personality of an individual. Everything is narrated from the view of our protagonist Akane Tsunemori and her team from Division 1 of public security where they will seek to maintain order and deliver justice to those who present high crime rates, which are defined by sybil with the idea of predicting the possibility that a person is capable of carrying out a crime. History is a direct criticism of the morality of justice and society, exposing how the promise of a utopia and a perfect world can be diffused by the concept of justice.
From this, I would like to fragment my opinion into 4 main aspects:

Strong points where I will speak promptly with spoilers of each aspect where the series or anime in question stands out
Weak points where errors are found
Final conclusions where I will define the one I liked the series so much, the relevance that it has and which people would like or not see it.
Plot Summary
We begin the story with Akane Tsunemori, who is a young woman who, after having the possibility to choose the job she wants by sybil's decision, falls as an inspector in the public security office, the body in charge of maintaining order in Japan and to catch or punish those latent criminals who have a high crime rate to prevent them from committing or continuing to commit crimes. For this task they are divided into inspectors and executors, with the inspectors being the leaders of each group, and the executors, latent criminals selected by the security office who are in charge of carrying out the dirty work to prevent the inspectors' psycho pass from being seen. severely affected by work. From here it is possible to appreciate the evolution of Akane when understanding the hardness and questionable morality that the sybil system has to qualify people. All this is influenced by 2 very important characters, Shinya Kougami, an executor of Akane's division and a mysterious criminal with an ability that puts the security office in the dilemma of whether sybil is as effective as everyone believes.
The story is built from how Akane, Kougami and the rest of the group deal with each case, realizing how many are interconnected with a figure that moves the strings in the shade with a plan in hand. In conjunction with this, we see the progressive fall of Akane and Kougami when they question the concept of justice and how a great secret hidden from any record is revealed.
Strong points
- Akane's Construction: Akane arrives at the office as an inexperienced and very docile girl who finds herself enveloped in a deplorable and visceral environment, being now responsible not only for leading a division of the public security bureau but for hunting down the scum of a false utopia. Akane has the capabilities and the potential for the job but she herself does not believe in her own abilities and thanks to the good interventions of Kougami or Masaoka she achieves one of the most notable evolutions I have seen of a female character in anime history.
The Villain:
To speak of Shougo Makishima is to speak of how he becomes a true antagonist in a story. Each scene where it is wrapped has a tension charge that astonishes all the characters on stage and the viewers. His speaking ability, wit, and ability to move the plot as he pleases is truly admirable. If one day they are looking for a formula to create the perfect villain, analyzing Makishima is a good option.
The soundtrack and the environment:
the epicity and emotional charge that comes from the Psycho pass soundtrack is enviable. From the strongly charged entry themes with “abnormalize” and “Out of control” to the sensitive and nostalgic closing themes, highlighting above all “Namae no nai kaibutsu”.. All this added to that contrasts between the dark tones of the city, giving it a mysterious aura and above all tense by the feeling that so much perfection cannot be true makes the artistic section something to highlight.
Social and moral criticism:
Perhaps one of the most attractive points, criticism of the extremes we are willing to face in order to live in peace, the ambiguity of the concept of justice, the search for humanity in a plastic world and The fragility that society has makes this anime a story worth analyzing and interpreting, especially seeing the duality of the protagonists and the villain's anarchist perspective.
Weak points
Incomplete stories:
The biggest mistake I notice in the story is the underdevelopment of some characters like the Executor Masaoka and Inspector Ginoza, who both enjoyed an excellent subplot worth exploring.Unnecessary developments:
In contrast to the previous point, the fact of having a complete chapter to develop the executor Kunizuka is totally unnecessary since it ends up being irrelevant to the story and feels more like a filler chapter.
Conclusions and recommendations
In short, psycho pass takes advantage of all this essence of police drama to exploit a perfect critique of morality and society in general. A story with very human protagonists to empathize with, one of the best-made villains in the history of anime and an excellent artistic section support Psycho pass as one of the anime you must see at least once in life.
If later you end up wanting more, don't forget that there are 2 subsequent seasons that I personally enjoyed a lot and a couple of movies that entertain and enrich the universe of this story a little more.
