That's one of the most important thing my mother taught me. Not only did she explain it to me in words but by her behavior with others. She's always helping someone in need without expecting anything in return. She is an excellent model to follow.
When I hear people say that we live in a selfish world I always reply that you make your world as you wish. My world is composed of the people I let in. If I want a positive "world" I know what I have to do.
The best way to ensure a positive attraction, is to be the best person you can be.
Negative thoughts brings negative consequences. I know it's easy to say and it's really hard sometimes to control those negative thoughts, believe me I know. It's a constant work trough all our life to maintain a positive flow in our mind.
It's almost certain that one day or another we will "fall" in a negative spiral, the important thing is to get out of it as quickly as we notice it. Staying positive in the face of adversity is your best chance at a positive and caring world. The world is what you make of it, I believe this very firmly.
We all have conversation with ourselves. Some call it "internal dialogue". We also have automatic thoughts that come to us without any warning. They are thoughts, images, memories, or even physical sensations that goes trough our mind in a flash. They almost can be considered like reflexes.
Sometimes they roll in our head, we call it "ruminations". Those thoughts and ruminations cause emotions, and when they are negative you can start feeling depressed, anxious or angry. It's hard to live with these constant feelings. That's where you have to intervene.
The world would be a better place if more people were thinking (and acting) like that
That's a true sentence :)
