Today, when I went out to buy bread from home to the market and on the way home, I saw the old aunt of our neighborhood picking the plums in her garden, and I immediately went to help her. Yesterday I told you about Aunt Hatice. She is a native of this place and whoever does what in the neighborhood comes to her and benefits from her experience. It is very important for me to chat with him and learn something.
We started chatting as we helped pick the plums. I asked him what are you planning to do by picking the plums because he likes to evaluate everything. He answered me so well. "I collect to distribute to my neighbors who do not have a garden and no plum trees," he said and added; "Maybe when they see plums when they pass by my house, they want to eat plums," he said. What a subtle thought, isn't it? In big cities, there is not much cooperation like this. When I moved here, I was very impressed while witnessing these.
There is a saying in our religion, "He who sleeps full while his neighbor is hungry is not one of us". This behavior reminded me of this saying. He planned to collect the plums in case other people wanted them, and separate them and give them to the neighbors.
"I already have 4 plum trees in my garden, I can't eat that many plums," he said. She once planted these plum trees before her husband died. 11 years have passed and he still continues to look at the plum trees as heirlooms. What great devotion and love. Sometimes, while chatting in the garden, he tells me about his wife and when he got married. I will listen to it with great enthusiasm. That's why it's so nice to live in a small town. When I go to the market to buy bread, I find myself picking plums for a moment. It is something very precious to me. Also, Aunt Hatice offered me some of the plums and I brought them home. I plan to make juice from them tomorrow. I think I will share with you how I did it.
By telling you about this sweet memory that developed today, I wanted to remind you how important it is to share what we have with those around us. Also, if you have an elderly acquaintance or neighbor living alone in our area, please visit them. They always have a lot to tell. Let them know that they are not alone and tell what they have accumulated inside. Sometimes people just want to talk and pour their heart out. We also have a lot to learn from older people. Their experiences will surely guide us.
Stay with love.
Looks like a nice haul. Beautiful fruit

That's so cute that you stopped to help your aunt picking the plumbs! Being kind and nice is such a rare thing these days..
We live in really strange times. Now people only think about themselves. I hope humanity will return to its good times as before. π
Praying for it too! ππ»
This is just purely amazing, I have a crazy idea. haha, call me stupid. But maybe make plum juice and sell them in one-time juice glasses like these; would be amazing in the neighborhood.
Haha, I think it's a great idea. Especially in places frequented by tourists, such things can sell well. I don't think it was a stupid idea at all π
Soon to be a local favorite! With a perfect background sweet story behind it. π
