Justice League director Zack Snyder's version of Justice League was finally released, which failed miserably in 2017 when director Joss Weeden completed its directing. Zack Snyder's Justice League has finally been able to offer us a different look from the previous version in a four-hour period of epic and suspenseful events, but is the movie awesome and amazing without flaws? Let's find out together the answer.

At the level of the character of the film's story
The tone of the events that came in the previous version of director Joss Wheden was characterized by a comedic character and a light, not dark tone, and this is not compatible with the DC cinematic world. When he directed the movie, Weeden brought the comic character of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which he directed The Avengers in 2012, and he thought that the same could be applied in the DC world, and it was wrong!

In this version of Zack Snyder we noticed that the dark character and serious tone that characterizes the DC world and even in the comics based on it, and therefore you will notice a good co-ordination of events in parallel with the previous parts of this cinematic world. So the first thing Snyder fixes here is the tone of the events, which should have been more serious and the result was up to par.

The length of the movie, is it justified here?

During the four hours of watching, there is absolutely no boredom or unjustified extension of events, and this means that when the producers came to the first director in 2017 to complete the film, they took many parts of the story that explain many things and gave a convincing view of the film and the entire cinematic world. By comparing this four-hour version of Snyder to that of Joss Widen's two-hour version, we discover that there was more to his narrative and story.

You will see many, many scenes and new insights that were cut and not presented in the first version, so it failed miserably in 2017, as even its events were quick and you feel that they want to reach you to the end only quickly for the sake of the last fighting scene, and this version explains many things to you, And it adds new parts to the story that give it a completely different look and convince you more that this DC cinematic world is still very hopeful that it will compete and continue to expand with other future parts and films.

Is the essence of the story completely changed?

Is the essence of the story completely changed? Meaning, is the movie like another story totally different from the 2017 movie? I previously said that Snyder changed the character and tone of the events, added many scenes and explained many things, but the core of the events and the essence of the story remained the same, and therefore among the things that made the 2017 film a failure was the main and core idea that did not convince us much, so Zach Snyder is here. He changed and changed, but he did not change and change everything!

Yes, he changed the look and character of the movie, so that the soundtrack in this movie is almost opposite to the 2017 movie and was much better, but I hoped that he would replace us with the essence of everything as if he wrote a new story and directed a different film. But over the course of four hours, Zack Snyder's version of Justice League was much better, and there was no sense of boredom and lengthiness given the length of the show.

What's the story of the unexpected 4: 3 aspect ratio?

In fact ... there is no explanation or attempt to analyze these strange dimensions in the image used by Zack Snyder, according to his gaze and saying that he wanted the film to appear in this way, contrary to what is usual in the cinematic environment in the current era with the extension of the well-known 16: 9. Many viewers, especially the new generation of movie lovers who are not used to films of the last century that started with such a square shape of the image, will not like this choice, but this is what director Snyder wanted, and personally I would have preferred if he chose the normal and usual 16: 9 aspect ratio in Our current generation.

Why all the fuss about this movie?
Firstly, for those who had no idea about re-releasing this movie, in a brief way before 2017 when Zack Snyder was filming this movie, his daughter committed suicide and therefore had to stop anything he was doing to be with his family in such a tragedy, and thus Warner Bros. company came Director Joss Weeden from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to complete the film, as the latter changed a lot in the script and re-filmed many parts of the film, and the result was Justice League, which was considered bad by many and some considered it okay.

Then, for more than three years, fans of the DC film world demanded from Warner Bros to release the full version of the original director Zack Snyder, and after a long time the company agreed to the matter and gave Snyder the freedom in his final year to release his own version that he would release in the first. And that was it, as Snyder repackaged his movie, which he had filmed almost entirely before 2017, and added a few scenes that he had filmed, such as the Joker scene that appeared at the end of the movie.

Secondly, we all know that those behind Warner Bros forced the director, Weden, to try to add a comedic tone in his version, and they had the final decision on how the film would be accomplished and how the story would be. This explicitly limits the director's creativity, so that without fans of this cinematic world, this new version would not have been better. The director must find freedom in applying his cinematic view, and this matter is rarely found in Hollywood and American cinema. There is the producer and the production company who have more decisions than the director in the final version of the film, and this matter kills cinematic creativity in particular and creativity in general.

A closing word

I think that Zack Snyder's Justice League is the movie that should have been released in 2017, because it is better and better than the previous film and because it gave each character its right to detail and depth, and the story of the film came with the character that convinced the viewer, especially fans of the DC film world, and it would be in The list of the best films of 2017 had Zack Snyder completed it at the time, but he is definitely in the list of the best films of 2021.
