Un sábado de pruebas [ESP/ENG]

Mi princesa practica natación, mi príncipe, karate-do y nos sucede con frecuencia que las competencias de ambos coinciden en fecha.

Justo eso pasó el pasado sábado 15, mi hijo tenía un chequeo en Cantaura y mi hija, una liguilla en San Tomé. Dos eventos y dos ciudades distintas.

Agradezco a Dios que mis soles nos tienen a su papá y a mí, de lo contrario, no podríamos con lo que abarcamos ahora.

Cuando esto sucede, mi esposo acompaña a nuestro karateca a sus eventos y yo, a nuestra nadadora. Así todos cumplimos.

En teoría, a mi hija le tocaba nadar a las 8 A.M, llegamos antes de esa hora y esperamos a que la liguilla comenzara, la idea de este tipo de ejercicio, es medir los tiempos de los nadadores, no competir entre sí, por tanto, no hay premiación.

A las 9 fue el calentamiento en la piscina y en seguida comenzaron las pruebas. Normalmente los eventos de natación son muy puntuales, en esta ocasión, hubo un retraso de 1 hora, pero la verdad es que no se sintió.

Theoretically, my daughter was supposed to swim at 8 A.M., we arrived before that time and waited for the pool to start, the idea of this type of exercise is to measure the swimmers' times, not to compete against each other, therefore, there is no award.

At 9 o'clock was the warm up in the pool and then the trials began. Normally swimming events are very punctual, on this occasion, there was a delay of 1 hour, but the truth is that it was not felt.

My daughter got to swim in the third group, which was wonderful, because she only had one race assigned and being one of the first, we were able to go home early.

Cuando los nadadores ya estaban el los tacos de salida, mi corazón latía acelerado por la emoción.

En esta ocasión tuve éxito, y también me di cuenta de que mi hija saltó un instante después que los demás.

El manejo de las emociones es importante en cualquier deporte de competencia, pero sólo la experiencia ayuda a los atletas a controlar sus temores y sus nervios.

Pienso que son muchas las situaciones en la vida en las que podemos sentirnos aterrados, pero lo importante es avanzar a pesar de eso.

¡Bravo por mi hija! que aunque no obtuvo el tiempo que esperábamos, no se detuvo, eso la enseña a que ella puede lograr lo que se proponga, sólo no debe rendirse.

En la vida, con sólo aprender, ya se está ganando.

Managing emotions is important in any competitive sport, but only experience helps athletes control their fears and nerves.

I think there are many situations in life in which we can feel terrified, but the important thing is to move forward in spite of that.

Bravo to my daughter! Even though she didn't get the time we expected, she didn't stop, this teaches her that she can achieve whatever she sets her mind to, she just must not give up.

In life, just by learning, you are already winning.
