In this blog, I am going to express my opinion about the Fantasy web novel Shadow Slave.
First of all, here is a summary of the story from webnovel website.
Synopsis
Growing up in poverty, Sunny never expected anything good from life. However, even he did not anticipate being chosen by the Nightmare Spell and becoming one of the Awakened - an elite group of people gifted with supernatural powers. Transported into a ruined magical world, he found himself facing against terrible monsters - and other Awakened - in a deadly battle of survival.
What's worse, the divine power he received happened to possess a small, but potentially fatal side effect...

The author of the novel has divided the genre of the novel into the following categories in order:
ACTION, MAGIC, ANTIHERO , SYSTEM , ADVENTURE, WEAKTOSTRONG, ROMANCE, SUPERPOWERS.
When I started the novel (by reading the first 20 cheaters)
I thought it was one of the dark novels.
The MC does nothing but kill people to save his life
But as the story progressed and in the first part and the world of dreams (100 cheaters), I felt that the MC was influenced by the other characters and changed. Even the romantic aspects appear slowly after the first 100 episodes.

The MC is a pessimistic and disillusioned young man who has a dark view of life. But! He has a great sense of humor and a strong desire to not only survive, but to thrive in this world.
An interesting thing about this novel is that the MC will not be very powerful and the stronger he becomes, he will not be able to directly defeat his enemies with his power. Whatever victory Sunny achieves will be achieved through cunning, hard work and skill.
The characterization is well done by the author. It seems that in terms of bravery and definition of a new monster that has not been seen in other novels, it shows the author's genius. Even the discussion of the new power rankings that are defined, does not exist in any other novel

Good
I think it's a bit slow, but it has the necessary tension to read the rest of the story
Attractiveness
Excellent
Considering the introduction of new powers and the story process, I think it is excellent compared to other novels.
In the End
if you love systemic, cunning and a little romantic novels, I recommend this novel to you.
