I generally do most of my edits from scratch I have a couple of presets but I seldom use them LOL, so I make it all new each time not very efficient I know

I may not be !DERANGED but I share deranged tokens, similarly I don't drink !BEER anymore

Everybody has his own workflow - I do most Lightroom work the same way and use the same adjustment layers with all my photos ;)
That's the fastest way for me to start and then every image is edited individually.

Yes indeed, but I am thinking my way is not so efficient, I need to start working on a better workflow and maybe making a few presets to at least speed up the initial steps of editing

Yes, the first steps are the ones I do always quite the same and they go fast without much thinking ;)

it is warm enough to go out now, but I have been so busy today I am now just chilling and catching up here, hopefully tomorrow I will get out for a walk :)

I just wrote in another reply that now you have time for doing what you have to do without being interrupted by having to go to work ;)
