Wednesday Walk by the Natatorium
First Wednesday Walk on Hive
I have decided I am going to hold off on posting on Steemit, after this post as I find it can be confusing to do the same post on both HIVE and STEEMIT, and from what I have seen most people are going onto Hive and I will follow with that trend.
So this post will be my first hosting of the Wednesday walk on Hive, and the last time ( subject to change as is all of life) Wednesday walk post on Steemit.
So this week's random giveaway will be with Steem, but from next week it will be with Hive tokens
I know many are on lockdown, and fully understand if you can get out for walks, I am inthe same boat myself, so feel free to be creative4 of feature walks from the past or WayBack walks and one person called them :)
Note I want to thank @bluemist for sponsoring this challenge starting from this week, due to their support I will be from next week sending out Hive to a randonly drawn, selection of people who partake in the Wednesday walk as I will explain in the guidelines below, all of the liquid rewards for this post will be shared with a selection of participants.
Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk, plus I will be sending some Hive to a selection of those who participate.
Actifit
A good App that works well in conjunction with the Wednesday Walk or any day walk is @actifit, which rewards you with Actifit Tokens and Upvotes, if you use the app to track your steps and do a post of your actifit total each day.
If you do a lot of activity I do recommend you check it out
Make me Smile Collaboration

A short walk in the neighborhood
These shots are from a week or so ago of a short walk I did in the neighborhood and I came across this Natatorium

What is a Natatorium? you may ask
Well I did anyways as it was new to me and simple it is a building that has a swimming pool indoors, I never knew that.
Next up is this little playground that still has a Christmas tree up there,

Oh... I learned a new word today! Natatorium... I guess many misses their LIVE walks now... As you said, many of us are in lockdown... And ours just got extended another two weeks...
Such a strange word if you ask me, and sadly I think these restrictions and quarantines are going to be around for a few more weeks but will be worth it inthe long run to get over this

I actually knew about Natatorium. In my dim and distant past there was a place in Spokane called 'Natatorium Park'. Sure enough, it had an indoor pool, but the real attraction was the arcade and rides. It was a highlight every time I got to go. My Great Grandmother lived close by so the chances were good when we went to see Grandma we'd also go to Nat Park.
The site is now occupied by a Senior Citizen Mobile Park. Incredibly sad for me...
Yes glad to be her eon Hive, I was debating what to do but this seems the right move, the natatorium Park sounds like it was fun back then

It looks like maybe it is lawn bowling. I wanted to say Bocce ball, but I am not used to the balls all being the same color. Nice photos. I don't think I knew what a Natatorium was either.
A couple of others said Bocce, and I think thats what it may be, I must pay more attention when things return to normal and I see people playing the game

I would have known the game which is called Boule or Boccia, but I am glad I didn't have to google for Natatorium, which is simply called "Hallenbad" in German (Hall and Bath combined to one word). We have such a building in almost every city I believe.

It was a new word for me also and seems a bit pretentios to me to be honest

Now it is very difficult to walk, there is always a risk of infection with this strange virus, but the air works wonders.
The breeze and the rustle of leaves on trees, the appearance of the first buds and buds - it is very beautiful.

Yeah I saw lots of snow and icicles in your walk :)
Here we can get out for walsk as long as not in groups, but I also have to watch the allergiy levels as my Dr doesnt want me out walking on days when the pollen or dust count are high as he doesnt want me to rick gettign allergy issues at this time, and so far the count has been hi most days so I have bene stuck indoors for the most part
Sorry to hear that! What is it like if you get out early in the morning is the Pollen count high then?

I have been checking the levels first thing when I get up and its generally been up even then, it is a little frustrating but best to stay as safe as I can this will pass I just have to be patient
