Qué bonito es poder celebrar el cumpleaños de las personas que quieres. El 23 de Julio fue el cumpleaños de mi querida madre y decidimos celebrarlo con una pequeña reunión de familiares, vecinos cercanos y hermanas en la fe.

Ese día fuimos a comprar lo que necesitábamos, entre esas cosas estaban las famosas empanadas de trigo (o sea, pastelitos) que tanto nos gusta comer en las reuniones, compramos dos paquetes de masa fácil.
Hicimos un paquete de pastelitos de carne guisada y el otro paquete de pastelitos de salchicha y queso rallado.
También compramos pan para hacer una idea que mi mamá había visto en Facebook. Esta idea muy fácil y económica consiste en rebanar unos panes salados de forma ovalada y colocarlos en una bandeja para hornear y agregarle una pasta para pizza. Y sobre esa salsa añadimos pimentón, salchicha, queso y orégano para que esos panes tengan sabor a pizza.
That day we went to buy what we needed, among those things were the famous wheat empanadas that we like to eat so much in the meetings, we bought two packages of easy dough.
We made one package of stewed meat pastries and the other package of pastries with chorizo and grated cheese. They are really delicious and very economical for a small sharing.
We also bought bread to make an idea that my mom had seen on Facebook. This very easy and economical idea is to slice some oval-shaped salty bread and place them on a baking sheet and add a pizza dough, there are economic ones that come in an envelope because the canned ones are more expensive. And on that sauce we add paprika, chorizo, cheese and oregano so that those breads have pizza flavor.
Después de hacer estos deliciosos aperitivos, decidimos empezar a sacar las cosas que teníamos guardadas de globos y cortina de cumpleaños para decorar un poco el fondo donde estaría la mesa con la tarta.
La verdad es que me gusta esta parte de la decoración aunque no sé nada de esto, pero me parece divertido sacar la cortina y empezar a pegarla mientras algunos miran jaja, inflando globos entre risas y anécdotas porque pasamos momentos agradables en familia.
After making these delicious appetizers, we decided to start taking out the things we had saved of balloons and birthday curtain to decorate a little bit the background where the table with the cake would be.
The truth is that I like this part of the decoration although I know nothing about this, but I find it fun to take out the curtain and start sticking it while some people watch haha, inflating balloons between laughter and anecdotes because we spent pleasant moments as a family.
Y entre risas, algunas dificultades para arreglar los globos jaja porque ninguno de los que estábamos allí sabíamos decorar, y vestir la mesa nos dimos cuenta que al final quedó sencilla pero bonita.
Cuando hacemos algo juntos y con cariño las cosas son muy bonitas, al final colocamos la torta y todo quedó precioso.
Lo malo de todo esto es que no avisamos con antelación de lo que íbamos a hacer, todo surgió de la noche a la mañana y solo estábamos los vecinos y nosotros allí en familia.
La mayoría de la familia de mi mamá no está cerca, todos viven lejos, fuera de la ciudad, fuera del país. Los hermanos y hermanas de fe, hubo algunos que no pudieron ir porque tenían compromisos en ese momento y otros porque no tenían nada que llevar.

Most of my mom's family is not around, they all live far away, out of town, out of the country. The brothers and sisters of faith, there were some who could not go because they had commitments at that time and others because they had nothing to bring.
La verdad es que en un cumpleaños lo único importante es la presencia de las personas que quieres y aprecias, es importante verlos ahí platicando contigo, compartiendo anécdotas, tal vez dándote un consejo, un abrazo y disfrutando de las bendiciones que Dios te añade.
Estas son pequeñas cosas que la gente ve como simples pero son realmente importantes, así que si te invitan a un cumpleaños no dejes de asistir por un regalo que allí importa más la presencia que el regalo, lo material se desvanece pero el recuerdo te marca y queda grabado en el corazón.
Obviamente a las personas que no fueron por falta de regalo las seguimos queriendo mucho y entendemos sus pensamientos porque así actuamos muchas veces pero yo aprendí que es mejor asistir porque al final es inútil planear una reunión y que nadie vaya, al menos no los que te hacen ilusión. No sé si alguien más lo sigue haciendo.
The truth is that on a birthday the only important thing is the presence of the people you love and appreciate, it is important to see them there talking with you, sharing anecdotes, maybe giving you advice, a hug and enjoying the blessings that God adds to you.
These are little things that people see as simple but they are really important, so if you are invited to a birthday do not fail to attend for a gift that there matters more the presence than the gift, the material fades but the memory marks you and remains engraved in the heart.
Obviously the people who did not go for lack of gift we still love them very much and we understand their thoughts because that's how we act many times but I learned that it is better to attend because in the end it is useless to plan a meeting and nobody goes, at least not the ones you are looking forward to. I don't know if anyone else is still doing it.
